This is a silly post, but my grandmother, yall…if it weren’t for her seeing potential in my sorry life, I wouldn’t be saying this, but I’m gonna write my book again, for her. I made a promise with myself years ago that my first book would be dedicated to her, my truest friend and supporter and confidant… I gotta write for her. She said yesterday that my ‘gift’ remains in writing, and I haven’t written in well over a year… maybe longer? But I want to write my book for her. I want to give her the first signed copy. She’s no fantasy reader but she said she’d read what I plan to write and… I don’t know, I’m just feelin feels
This is kind of scary to share, but I have a few Critical Role OCs, and this one.. this is Rune Becke-Grieve (she/her), the (fankid) kiddo of Caleb/Bren, Astrid and Eadwulf.
Rune grew up not knowing Caleb and was pretty much another student of Trent’s, so she barely got to see the outdoors much unless Trent allowed it. When she met Caleb, it was almost a complete panicked moment for both of them — Caleb didn’t know he had a daughter, and Rune didn’t know Caleb existed… or, really, who any of her parents were. She was a closeted trans girl at that time, and Caleb was immediately taking her on the adventures with the Nein once they were able to get her away from Trent.
Rune initially came out first to Jester, who’s the forever ray of sunshine, and Jester immediately ordered numerous dresses for her! She didn’t out her to Caleb but did encourage him to talk to Rune and they could maybe learn about each other; Caleb was the one to teach Rune what being trans meant. He was also the only one who could really speak to Rune fluently, as Rune’s common wasn’t great.
I’m still working on Rune’s story, but yea!! She was a young tween/teen upon meeting Caleb and I drew her as an older teen/young adult here, but she’s potentially going to be in a fanfic… would that interest anyone?? 🌸

Betty- Rose Quartz from Steven Universe (just similar character designs. I also think she'd look cute in the white dress Rose wears.)
Hector- Eric the Phantom of the Opera from the eponymous story (I actually thought that's what his story was going to be. Turned out to be more Cyrano de Bergerac themed.)
The Hanks- The Lost Boys, specifically
Hank 1 as David
Hank 2 as Michael
Hank 3 as Paul
Hank 4 as Dwayne
Hank 5 as Marko
(Simply because I'm letting my interests bleed into one another and I went off of personalities.)
Volt- Pete Burns in the music video of You Spin Me Right Round, specifically the eye patch look. (I just think he would vibe with the outfit.)
Prissy- a fairy, specifically one very inspired by the Great Fairies on the Zelda 64 games (very bright and happy like her and the vine motifs are great for her too.)
Cam- Mr. Stain from Mr. Stain on Junk Alley. (Similar character designs. Like, to the point where I'd be more surprised if they didn't take inspiration from Stain for Cam.)
Harper- Popee the Performer from the eponymous show. (While writing the thing for Cam, I just thought of her making a good Popee.)
Dirk- Kedamono from Popee the Performer. (The fact that if Harper was Popee then Dirk would almost have to be Kedamono. You know, with how the two of them are best friends one moment and out to kill each other the next.)
Holly- still Holly, but she moves the skeleton on her shoulder to on top of her head. (Because that's fun.)
Drysdale- Dr. Frank-N-Furter from The Rocky Horror Show (simply because my sister sent me a video she found of Neil Newbon singing Sweet Transvestite, and my life will never be the same.)
Mac- AM from I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream (hee, hee, hee, computer jokes)
Heyyyy I need advice, yall, if that’s okay — username related advice :3
So it should start with this… I’ve decided to get over my fear of being my honest self and have decided to slowly re-come out as trans, and I’ve chosen Taliesin as my name! The problem is, I have no ideas for an art related username that has my name included, which is kind of important for me… idk I know it’s dumb I’m sorry! But do any of yall have username suggestions with my chosen name included? It can be shortened to Tal btw :3 ye sorry idk
