one significant thing i took from ep.12 is that honerva - even after regaining her memories - still isn’t capable of motherly love. she’s come to accept that lotor is her son, but even when confronted with a healthy & smart boy, she subconsciously thinks of him as her property rather than the child she longs to care for.

it breaks my heart that lotor is better off without any motherly figure at all… but on the other hand, it does feel good to know that in at least one alternate reality, little lotor is loved and cherished by his papa.

So i saw a post a few days ago about neurotypicals who say that stim/fidget toys make you *less* focused and how fucked that is and it got me thinking of an analogy.

So you know when you try on a friend’s glasses and you can’t see shit???? Their glasses make your vision worse, right? But you realize that it’s because YOU DON’T NEED THEM. You might mention or make a joke about how blurry things are for you, but you still understand and appreciate that the glasses help your friend see, even though they aren’t good for you personally.

So when you try your friend’s tangle or fidget cube and claim, as a blanket statement, that it makes you *less* focused and that your friend should stop using it for that reason?? You’re being just as much of an asshole as if you tried on your friend’s glasses and said “wow, you know these ACTUALLY make your vision WORSE, right???” because you’re assuming that your experience is the same as theirs when it’s really, really not.

so mail delivery has been understandably wack since the postal strike started, and since it started, for some reason instead of putting the flag on the mailbox up when there’s mail, they occasionally put the flag out towards the road? and with the distance and trees from the front windows, we can hardly tell when the flag is upright - literally can’t see it at all if it’s pointed towards the road unless you go out of the house.

Something that has been bothering me:

In the beginning of S8E1, Shiro explains to the crew that it’s their last night on Earth at the Garrison, and that they should spend it with those they love.

Later in the episode, we find Keith sitting on the black lion–their lion–watching the sunset.

He’s not with Krolia, whom he loves. So who was he waiting for here? Well, the only other person Keith has ever told he loves is Shiro.

The sunset is extremely reminiscent of the sunsets he and Shiro used to watch together when they were at the Garrison, before Kerberos. It looks extremely identical and may even be the same place, or close to it.

Lance even tells Keith he was hard to find–for Lance. But Shiro would’ve known exactly where to find him…yet he never shows up.

What happened between them, why were Shiro and Keith so distant this season, so much so that their entire past was seemingly completely erased?

No matter how you see their relationship, this was a huge hole not only in the plot of the final season but the character’s hearts themselves.
