🌹 “LIFE CYCLE” 🥀

(cone 5.5 ceramic stoneware wall tiles, underglaze, glaze, gold lustre, kintsugi) SOLD

huge thanks to my friend Ehsan for saving my ass via emergency last minute kintsugi repair 💙 (not the fake stuff mind you, the real, time consuming stuff) when I learned a lesson about trying my hand at my biggest wall tiles yet for an exhibition)

The first features a nude blue transmasc figure curled up and peacefully resting among red flowers. The second, their skeleton under a crescent moon with the previous flowers growing out of it. Gold lustre outlines the dogs, and accents their pupils, stars, and rain / the dog’s teardrops scattered throughout the illustrations. The tiles are cracked through the middle, repaired with kintsugi, with white-silver and gold alloys.
