TL;DR: Kudos day glitched out, screwing over 14 servers and the support team wants to sweep it under the rug. Please sign this petition and consider joining our boycott so they take this seriously.

The long version:

Tokyo Debunker struggled with daylight savings. Among all of the glitches, players felt the worst of it during Kudos Day.

What is Kudos Day?

When GoC ends there is a day off before the next map starts. On this day guilds will compete to earn as many kudos as possible - if you place high enough, you get two starting towns / declarations. If you don’t hit a certain rank, you won’t get any towns on the map at all. There’s a handful of ways to earn kudos: fishing, wining in arena, beating galaxy express cases, and spending investigation tickets.

Okay, so what happened?

Kudos Day didn’t count. The details are messy, and I’ll get into it under the cut, but what matters is that the game didn’t properly register earned kudos. It either skipped the final hour or skipped an entire day. Hundreds of investigation tickets and diamonds were spent between arena, camping, and galaxy all with the intent of earning kudos and it didn’t count.

Our guild ranked top 3 in the final hour, but when the server rolled over? We weren’t even on the map. And we’re not alone in this. The affected servers are: 5, 7, 11, 15,16, 18, 19, 21, 22, 27, 35, 37, 41, and 44.

We’ve reached out to the devs. They told us they looked into it and didn’t see anything wrong. So we sent proof. They responded saying the game didn’t count the last hour (which is the most important part of the day, because players spend most of their tickets last minute to get an edge). They told us to let them know if it happened again and sent us on our way.

What’s the point of this post?

The game messed up and the team doesn’t care about fixing it. They’re not going to do anything unless it affects them financially. Inspired by Infinity Nikki’s girlcott, we’re hoping to make some noise, start a petition, and boycott spending real world currency on the game until they fix this. In a perfect world they’d update the map with correct standings, but realistically that won’t happen. We’re hoping for some kind of compensation - refunded diamonds and investigation tickets at the very least.
