not everything in a story has to or should be "realistic" but in my opinion there's a level of illusion that should be maintained, and I think that's the actual problem that many people try to pinpoint with the "unrealistic" criticism. Dialogue shouldn't be written like an actual transcript of human speech, but should contribute to the illusion of a real person speaking. A character is a tool of the story, not a narrative, but we're trying to maintain the illusion that they are a person. Worldbuilding should exist to serve the story, not to be a perfect simulacrum of how every aspect of nature/society etc. would actually play out for real. But there should be the illusion that it could be real, that organizations and systems would operate in such a way, that people might behave in such a way.
in conclusion: "Is this realistic?" <<wrong question. "Does this serve the illusion or disrupt it?" <<now we're talking

As it is unlikely for Danny to ever meet her: do you think Hancock's power would work on Danny in "Wanted"? I personally think her acting so "overly cute" would confuse him enough where her power wouldn't work like it does for everyone else but wanted to know your thoughts and opinions on the matter.
To be perfectly honest? I do think it would work on Danny in some way. Canonically she turns everyone who has affection for her into stone (Men specifically). Danny also canonically has been shown to really like girls in the way that those old cartoons liked to show. Not that I personally agreed with that trope choice. Even if he didn't have a crush on her, I do think he'd still be turned to stone.
HOWEVER: Because Danny has intangibility, I think that he would be able to escape the stone. But it would also depend on how much energy and willpower he has available at the time. Because his powers in this universe are highly limited due to being cut off from the Ghost Zone and ambient ectoplasm of Amity Park, it would take much more willpower to escape than it normally would. And if he has run out of his own ectoplasm, then his chances are much more slim. It isn't impossible, but like many other things that have and will happen in the story of Wanted, it would take a lot more effort than normal on Danny's part.
I don't follow canon to a T, but I do like to try and keep things similar enough (more on the One Piece side than Phantom side). So if I'm taking more inspiration from canon: Then yes, it would still work. But no, Danny is an outlier in the OP world so some rules don't fully apply to him while others affect him more.

haha my computer broke a little while back and may have deleted several things I've been working on. I've got one thing I need to finish since I promised it as a gift and it takes priority. (It's late enough as it is. I'm not mad that my pc destroyed it at all hahahahahhaAHAHA). After that I'll do my best to return to writing my ao3 and tumblr fics. Sorry for all the delays.
