Goin' through stuff - time to draw the tief beef getting mala hot pot for mental health. They are having a good time - they both like face-numbing heat and have ordered so much extra protein they're going to be there a while (though everything will rapidly disappear, the ladies have appetites to match their size - there won't be a single dish uneaten or noodle missed when they finish off the broth). Karlach really likes fatty and tender cuts of meat, particularly beef, any kinds of sausages and meatballs, pumpkin, potato, corn, bok choy and any kind of brassicas. Tav also will always go for any meats, but has a real fondness for shrimp and prawns or any other crustaceans, quail egg, lotus root, cabbage, carrot, sweet potato, bean sprouts, and mushrooms. They both like duck blood, tofu, and tofu skins because they absorb so much broth, will eat green onions till they pop, and go for anything novel or specialty like specialty dumplings, shelfish, unusual organ meats, or... well whatever else is on the menu! Karlach likes to put everything she can in her dipping sauce (she also does the thing where you put all the flavors in your soda or slurpee) while Tav prefers a bit more of the classic mix of oyster sauce, chilies, garlic, green onion, rice wine vinegar, sesame seeds, and sesame oil.
