Top 5: by Taylor Burk
We’ve selected photographer, Taylor Burk, to recap his top 5 photos he’s ever taken. Read on to learn the stories behind these amazing shots…
Lake Louise From Above.
1. Flying over Lake Louise in Alberta was a morning I will never forget. I was on a campaign for @WildernessCulture and we were granted access to fly over this familiar spot in order to get some unique photos. Seeing sights like that make me appreciate the national parks that we have!
Stars Over The Frozen Crescent Falls.
2. My friend @nathanielatakora and I climbed down the steep banks and cliffs under the night sky in -30c. My camera literally had ice all over it and my hands were numb. Every moment of it was memorable and made being in our warm cabin afterwards so much more rewarding!
Camping Under The Storm.
3. I had been driving all day and was ready to rest and catch some sleep, I finally found a spot that was calling my name! As I made my way up the mountain a storm was approaching, it made for an in-tents sunset haha. Also that night there was something large sniffing around my tent where I laid alone, wide eyed and nervous. I never found out what it was…
Sunset over Vermilion Lakes in Banff.
4. Waking up early is not an easy thing, especially during the winter when the temperatures are below zero. Coffee does help though, as well as having this much vibrancy and beauty during the sunrise! It makes it worth every second.
Milky Way in Jasper Alberta.
5. It’s easy to feel small when we compare ourselves to the universe. There is so much out there that is undiscovered! Staying up late and shooting the sky with friends is something that is hard to beat.
