someone who needs to take off their glasses for a good, proper noseblow. they're stuffed up with a cold and throughout the day, they get by with these half-hearted noseblows that don't help the congestion. finally when they're alone with you, they take their glasses off and ask, "hold my glasses for me, will you?" then they snugly wrap the entire length of their nose in their handkerchief before giving a long, forceful blow.

people go off about productive nose blows but what about productive:

- sneezes: where they would clear their sinuses briefly with a good nose sneeze where the congestion gets shot out their nostrils

- sniffles: where the congestion is loose enough to move but not to get out so the gurgly sniffling that very shortly loosens up their sinuses only for the congestion to return and sniffling to continue

- nose rubbing: u can audibly hear the squelching of snot as they rub at their nose which loosens up the mucus to either be blown out or start running out of their nostrils

I ended up so desperately, pathetically snotty--every time I breathed more snot was bubbling out, I was a total mess--that I took a shirt I'd been wearing yesterday and blew into it since I didn't have anything else to blow my nose into.

It was one of those really good satisfying blows--the long wet ones where you just blow and blow to clear out all the snot? Took a full two minutes of blowing to get it all out. I don't do things by halves, if I'm going to blow my nose I'm going to keep blowing until I've completely cleared my nose, even though it usually takes a couple of minutes or sometimes more.

Red noses are beautiful and sexy. They leave clues to something: a sneezing attack, allergies, the cold, a recent nose blow, or simply the exciting sniffing and touching of the nose, or a violent sniffle.

Red noses are exciting because they reflect another's struggle not to sneeze or to expel thousands of sneezes from their nose.

Red noses reflect the induction of sneezing and the excitement of an "Ahh... ahh... ahhtchu!"

After all this, all that's left for me to do is say, "Bless you," and give you my handkerchief so you can blow your beautiful red nose.

i’m genuinely obsessed with the phrase “full of cold”

when a girl’s nose is bright red and twitchy, constantly being rubbed at with a tissue. eyes streaming, cheeks flushed. she can’t stop sneezing, and you can hear how wet they are. she ends her fits with a nose blow and a pathetic “excuse me.” and you just look at her and go wow. she’s full of cold 🫠🫠
