It'd been a crazy year, my goals for 2024 was to create as much Gwuncan content as possible until my hyperfixation slip away... but somehow, I'm still here 🤣

I still have a lot of plans for my blog and for my writing. Next year, I really want to learn how to draw and not die in the process. Also, the idea of making edits (like the wonderful @dududuuuuudud gwuncan edits), always interested me.

For my gwuncan fanfiction future's ideas... Well, I kinda need to slow down and actually focus on one or two ideas. I literally have like 20... and they just keeps coming 😭

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to read them and supported them. It means more than you think, given the fact that I wasn't that confident in my English writing skills. I still commit a couple errors, but I'm less hard on myself.

The love I have for Gwen and Duncan, as characters and as a couple haven't diminished. To the contrary, it was amplified by the content I'd created throughout this year.

Individually, Gwen and Duncan are- let’s get fucking real here- two of the unhealthiest characters TD has ever and probably will ever produce.

Duncan is a douchebag a good 75% minimum of the time, and Gwen’s clear mental health issues don’t make her perfect either. Girl’s got trust issues out the ass and around the corner.

But for some reason, when compared to other couples (Duncney, Gwent, Stephanie & Ryan, that one reboot couple where the dude cut the chick’s breaks on her car- idk their names) they’re healthy.

There’s no constant screaming matches, no breaking up & getting back together every 38 seconds, they don’t try to change the other every five minutes. They never told the other “Hey, I don’t like you hanging out with X.” and the only thing wrong with X was that they were the opposite gender.

Together they’re perfect.

Duncan didn’t flirt with every other girl while he was with Gwen- unlike when he was with Courtney. And other then Gwen punching him in the arm because he was being a tool to Trent back in Action, I can’t recall a single time where Gwen laid her hands on Duncan.

They have their issues, yes, abso-fucking-lutely, but they’re small potatoes compared to the issues other couples have.

Gwuncan is a couple that are individually a mess, but manage to bring out the best in the other.

And Duncan would definelty become a better person because of Gwen. Not because she forced him to, but because she made him want to.

An unpopular character that you actually like and why 👀

HMM! I honestly don't dislike any particular character, but I'd have to say Sugar. She's funny, I love her dynamic with Ella, and I could fix her (writing-wise) generally. She is very endearing and entertaining to me, a man who has seen pahkitew more than a normal person has

for TDi, I dont know if it counts, but TDDDDI is prbably my favorite. Really great character moments and pairings as well as more insight into certain characters. Lindsay Beth Ezekiel trio I love youu

TDA is harder for me. Idk, I like the ones with Gwen. LOL

TDWT. Greece's Pieces. No question. My favorite episode in the entire show, I got no idea why, but I love it so much.

TDROTI, I think Ice Ice Baby. I dont have strong opinions on the episodes tbh though.

TDAS is exempt from this cause I dont remember an episode I liked.

For the reboot uh, both episodes where Scary Girl gets eiminated weirdly.

First for the Sexuality hcs, cause I love doing those -- gwen is bisexual, but like, only realizes it in her 20s typa gal. Her first girl crush was heather change my mind Like she ended up heavily repressed with her being defined by her relationships with guys in show & Total Drama messes you up in general LOL. Now duncan. Duncan is straight to me. But he can have weirdly homoerotic friendships/rivalries with men, as a treat. (also 20 dollars is 20 dollars). Despite what anyone would say I think he would actually be pretty supportive! They trust each other i think :)

Also I think that theyd end up becoming very private people regarding their relationship, like especially after WT the harrassment in universe would probably be INSANE especially due to gwen already being disliked for TDA. Every few months theyd share a selfie or something but otherwise; the in universe gwuncaninators have to live off of CRUMBS. Despite that though, they dont hate PDA - clearly seen in ROTI Episode 1 as well but I feel like itd be more subtle than st8 up making out like bridgeoff LMFAO. Duncan said it was corny (he loves it)

They call each other posers & lame/insulting nicknames (essentially canon w pasty LOLOL) just for fun. Its their love language.

Hmm honestly this is really hard for me- because there are SO many good ones. I guess I'll go by season (first 3 though, haah)

TDI 's lines arent particularly that memorable, its probably the least funny of the OG three, BUT despite that I'm a big fan of this just, moment in particular

Heathers reactions always get me and I fucking love the Owen simping for Justin running gag, no matter how of its time it is.

Honorable mention to this moment

TDA is really hard because there is so many comedic moments and lines I love quoting, despite it being my least watched season. Yes, including pahkitew

"I'm surrounded by loons!" "Where?" "Oh I love ducks!" is so good, and Izzy being a straight man? peak.

And for World Tour, ANY Tyler moment but 100% "Make a mental note of that, bro." "I don't have a pen."
