As I soak the Spring sun & hear the cuckoo sing, I think of my time in Delhi & the absolutely heartwarming people I have met and now are good friends 😊 The one person who stands out and I love ever so dearly for not only being so humane but having a heart of gold, humour such that you would be constantly holding your stomach in his company, for being so blatantly honest, passionately creative and you talk about anything under the sun, there will be conversation that will follow 😊 But the one thing that I had heard from our common friends raving about was his flair for cooking & baking! And God, how I wanted to taste! So the day I was asked to save the date by John Connolly, I was beyond excited! And so I marked my calendar & highlighted it ❤️ The day arrived, I was greeted by his partner Atanu & John himself and I soon met Tibo, Saurabh, Naman, Hans & Tomak! A sit down dinner it was. An absolutely Beautiful display on the dining table, wines flowed, conversations, laughter, talks, ah it went on until the food arrived. Ingredients were bought from the US on John’s recent visit back home: And each one of us couldn’t stop appreciating it all! What a brilliant marriage of ingredients, taste, aroma, texture and finally the plating! The man is a Rockstar! I have dined and eaten pretty well but this meal will be with me for times to come.
