Demons

A demon walks behind me, A shadow in my steps, I hear a lot about her, Even though we’ve never met. She preys on uncertainty, Puts words in people’s ears, The very idea of her, Draws out your darkest fears. Words from my mouth defeat her, But only if people listen, I scream and shout, But it’s as if my voice is missing. 

The demon is imaginary, Yet she causes so much harm, I did not create her, It was my comrades in arms.

I’m very nearly alone now, The darkness closes in, However I still have hope, I can’t let the demon win. I want my voice to be heard, Ring clean across the hills, The demon shows all one lesson, Poor communication kills.

i love student housing. i’m in the common room waiting for a friend and there’s some dude crying on the couch w a bunch of his friends around him and i can only hear bits and pieces but someone asked him “who gets the minecraft server if you guys break up?” and he started crying harder and a 3rd person reached over to smack the guy who asked it on the back of the head
