Don’t imagine Mike discovering what an incredible, kind, brilliant person El is once she has room to grow and thrive with a family who loves her in a place that doesn’t remind her of every bad thing she came from.

Don’t imagine Mike seeing Will laugh from across the table at something El said and wondering why he feels so warm, why Will’s smile feels like coming home, why there are thoughts running through his head of everything he wants to tell him.
