I FUCKING HATE THE INTERNET!!!!!!
Don't get me wrong, I've met great people and learned invaluable things but the escapism you get is just not enough and it gets to a point where you got to acknowledge that nobody is going to stop your life from sliding out of view. No one is going to save you but yourself.
As an Anarcho-Egoist, it's undeniable that the forced assimilation of the internet into daily life has been a disaster for humanity and it will only get much worse as time goes on.
It has facilitated the death of nuisance and freethinking due to the oversocializing tribalism of modern social media platforms. We self-censor our own thoughts to appease random strangers who've never had an independent thought of their own and advertisers who've drained the internet of any life force it's once had. It's like society as it is but on steroids
That's only scratching the surface, the pandemic has brought millions upon millions of people online, millions upon millions of people whose data is being harvested for ai, millions upon millions of people who are getting tracked as we speak.
When the pandemic hit my life went into a downward spiral, my life from then on has been mostly spent in isolation and like I said before, you can't let your life get away from you.
I'll probably be sticking around on discord but soon I'll be gone for good.
