Currently some of the accents I’ve made so far.

most of em can be found on my forum post here. http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/skin/2704383/1 I believe there are only 4 slots left to buy my first printed accent. after that I’m moving on to another one to keep them moving.

the blue crystal horn one is currently awaiting printing but the rest I need to wait for the first print to go through before even considering doing a print of those.

right now their just kinda sitting here for now. I unfortunately have the situation of making them faster then they get printed out. at least I’ll have a few runs before I stop doing accents anyway.

I am open to suggestions as well. tho as it’s obvious I like doing gemstone based ones. but I’m currently working on a fruit gore spiral M accent with banana’s

Checkers my betta is dead

Last night he was fine then suddenly this morning he was extremely not fine... And 5 mins ago he died. The only thing I can think of is that he must of gotten spooked and had a freak accident by slamming into something at night. Some of the scales on his back where gone making me think he hit his spine.

I dunno what happened. he was fine last night, I shut off the lights like normal and I wake up this morning and he’s on the bottom of the tank, breathing heavily and it appears he lost some scales. what I’m thinking is that he somehow got spooked and slammed into something too hard when in a panic.

I’m watching him but right now it does not seem like there's much I can do.

Oh god No.

I was doing a water change and my kuli loach flew up the gravel tube. and ended up in the bucket. I realized it immediately and got it out of the bucket and back into the tank but it’s clearly stressed out. I hope it wont die from this. urg I hate myself for not noticing the kuli loach getting to close. I’m gonna let everything settle and see tomorrow if their fine.

Can someone help with something? are those red marks at the end of checkers tail a problem or just coloration coming through?

I’ve noticed he’s getting more black on him. and a bit of red. but the tips of his tail fin look mauve/pink red-ish so I’m unsure if those are a wound or just his coloration?

I haven’t noticed any problems with him. he’s super active. passive towards every other fish. his hunger is endless. he’s super curious about new things. no iching, no sluggishness, no avoiding any other fish, he’s been just super active and wiggly.

though maybe I’m just paranoid.

Here’s a better shot of my betta I got yesterday.

I hope I didn’t overfeed him he looks a bit big on the belly I’m trying not to overfeed him but with the neon tetra’s and shrimp he keeps trying to eat everything. and honestly I just fed him a few pellets on purpose, but he ate a bit of the algae wafer for the shrimps and the food for the neon tetras. so I’m scared he got overfed yesterday. so I didn’t feed him any pellets today but tried to give him one blood worm. he doesn’t like em…he wants noting to do with blood worms.

Oddly enough he will not flare as well…I’m not sure if this is a problem. I’ve even tried using a mirror but he just looks at the reflection and wiggles, then goes about his daily life and ignores it.

I can’t get him to flare, and I’ve noticed when he blows bubbles he doesn’t really have a black beard? is it possible that he somehow got them ripped off? I’ve only seen a little bit of black but noting like a normal betta. and I can’t get him to flare. he’s like super super timid and chill.

I made a almond leaf bed for him, by fitting a leaf just barely under the water and next to his heater. so he seems to enjoy that. since he just immediately went on it when I made it.

Honestly I’m a bit concerned about overfeeding, and the fact he wont flare…it makes me think he’s ether super chill, or somethings wrong with the beard which I didn’t notice yesterday when I got him.

Ah, he looks like the long-finned version of my betta, LaSalle! He’s beautiful.

With feeding, feed your betta with the lights on and then feed the shrimp the algae pellet at night with the lights off. That’s what I did when I had shrimp in with my boy. He didn’t notice the algae pellets when I dropped them in the tank in the dark, and so he didn’t eat them and the shrimp got their food (they’re very good at sensing food and finding it in the dark).

Don’t worry about him not flaring, some bettas are extremely chill and won’t, or they don’t until they’re settled in. It took months before my betta started to flare. And don’t worry about his beard, either! They come in different colours. My boy has a black and clear beard, like so:

It’s got a black splodge on his right side, and the rest is completely clear, as you can see. Try not to worry too much about your betta, he looks great and as long as you’ve got the essentials (a good size tank, a heater, a filter, etc) then he’ll probably be just fine!

My betta, Genji, was a flare monster when I first got him (like he legit was super aggressive - flaring at me and everything when he was at the pet store)

Then after a while, he’s calmed down a lot and never flared until yesterday while I was sitting in front of the tank

Well that's a relief. I didn’t realize they could come in clear as well. I honestly though he didn’t have a beard. Right now he’s in a 10gallon, with a light flow filter, a heater, some almond leaf beds (until I get his actual betta bed in), with some hornswort, and duckweed as a live plant, going to be getting silk plants on top of that to make the tank more planted. he’s got a big crocodile skull hide, he doesn’t seem to like it....the neon tetra’s and shrimps like it though. I am getting another hide as well, and I’ve got betta pellets,frozen blood worms and brine shrimp, and community pellets for the tetra’s and algae wafers for the shrimps/snails.

currently there's him, 6 neon tetra’s and 2 ghost shrimp and 1 cherry shrimp, along with some baby snails that I accidentally got with the live plants but their so small I can’t tell what they are. I’ve seen maybe 3 snails...but I can’t be sure cause their so tiny.

I might need to add more tetra’s possibly, I’ve noticed some chasing between the tetra’s but as for the betta fish they don’t feel threatened by him at all. some of em even followed him around like they where schooling with him. and he doesn’t care about them ether, he followed one once, but that was when he was first put in the tank and being in a little container for most of his life I’d assuming it was just more curiosity of like “woah what is this” he just kinda swam up to one of the tetra’s looked at it, and then explored the rest of the tank. As for the tetra’s they school from time to time but about half the time they go off on their own, then swim back to the group. which seems to me they don’t see any real threats.

However, my betta fish seems iffy about me, sometimes he swims up to check me out and others he darts off like he’s scared. I’ve been hand feeding him to try and get him to trust me a bit more. he seems to be ok with that.

As for the neon tetra’s chasing each other I’ve actually managed to single out one that's been really doing it more then the others. This one here has basically stayed in one area and has been chasing off the other tetra’s as soon as they come close to it’s area....I’m not sure if it’s a male or female but it seems to be the only one really doing the chasing. it’s not biting, just chasing.

unfortunately my camera didn’t catch the details in the fins very well cause it kept moving. but I’m not sure whats going on with this one. it seems to have claimed a territory but I didn’t realize tetra’s do that.
