I’ve had a few people asking me lately about Baz’s race and Egyptian heritage. Let me answer that question by telling you more about what I was thinking while I was writing Carry On.

Actually I’m going to go back to when I was writing Fangirl. That’s when I decided that Baz looked a lot like Andrew Ridgeley – also known as the member of Wham! who is not George Michael. (This guy ⬇️, on the right, with the blond highlights.)
