The year is 3055. Humanity has long since abandoned the Earth, leaving it to reclaim itself, to heal itself from their abuse of it. One day, a ship returns to Earth on an archeology expedition, to see if any of the origins of humanity can be discerned from their ruins.
A large, concrete building is the focus of their excavation. The team explore it, finding it to have once been a center of commerce. The products have long since rotted away, the building itself half-collapsed. In the back, there seems to be an office that was used by those who ran the building.
Exploring it, they find audio broadcast equipment, as well as primitive data storage devices. Most are corroded, but one survives. Curious, the team recovers it and plugs it into their suit computers, eager to learn more about their origins.
Music comes blaring through their speakers. At first, it's catchy, celebrating a season of love, and togetherness. And then, she awakens from her icy tomb and assaults their ears. She Who Yearns For Nothing.
Three members of the team plug up their ears, trying to resist the assault on their senses. The fourth unplugs the drive, hopeful that will be enough to get the song to stop, which it does.
The fifth member goes, 'You know, that wasn't too bad, actually.'
He is left for dead on the planet's surface, along with the drive.
