A collection of mentions from that scene:
It appears that Jaime may be realising he has feelings for Brienne as he gazed with misty eyes at the Sapphire Isle - the home of the Lady of Tarth. It’s the Game of Thrones romance we’ve secretly been hoping for since season three’s The Bear and the Maiden Fair… - Express
Jaime and Cersei act like strangers now—so much so that viewers are speculating whether Jaime’s remark to Bronn that he’d like to die “in the arms of the woman I love” refers to Cersei or (far more interestingly) Brienne of Tarth. - Racked
Jaime and Bronn are traveling on a merchant ship — the better to sneak into Dorne, he explains. When the boat passes Tarth, Brienne’s birthplace, he gives it a look of longing that’ll keep fanfic authors busy until the wee hours. - TV Line
When we first see Jaime on the merchant ship en route to Dorne, he asks a deckhand if the island in the distance is Estermont, a large isle on the eastern coast of Westeros, north of Dorne. The deckhand tells him it’s Tarth, the Sapphire Isle. Jaime has a certain look in his eyes – is it longing? Tarth, of course, is the home of Brienne. Later, when Jaime and Bronn are speaking of the way they’d like to die, Jaime says, “In the arms of the woman I love.” Bronn looks at him and says, “Does she want the same thing?” Jamie doesn’t say who the woman is, and of course if it is Cersei, Jaime can’t say so. Is this exchange to make us wonder whether he’s thinking of Brienne, or to bring the point home that he and Cersei are no longer on the same page? - NJ
More moving than either of their ideal demises, though? The golden boy’s wistful expression as his ship passes Tarth, the home of his old friend Brienne. - Rolling Stone
Jaime and Bronn head south on a ship to rescue Princess Myrcella. They pass by an island, the Isle of Tarth, Brienne’s homeland. Jaime looks longingly at the coast. Does he have a little crush for his former companion? - Whedonopolis
I loved Bronn and Jaime’s conversation about how they’d want to die. I can only assumed when Jaime said: “In the arms of the woman I love”, he meant Brienne. Yeah? YEAH? How much did you love Jaime smiling fondly at Brienne’s home, Tarth? Ship them. - WeWomen
In the meantime, Jaime Lannister is also on a boat, casually passing by Brienne of Tarth’s home island. And remembers her. Or imagines her in some sexy medieval lingerie, how are we supposed to know. - Critics Associated
And speaking of ships (wow what an awful segue), let’s talk about how Jaime’s totally in love with Brienne. I mean, right? That wistful look as they passed by Tarth can only mean one thing: the brotherlover has moved on from the cold, damaged arms of his sister and into the heart of another. (And oh thank goodness for that.) - Nerdist
Jaime Lannister says that he wants to die in the arms of the woman he loves, although from the way he gazes at Tarth, the Sapphire Isle, birthplace of Brienne, one wonders if the woman he loves still is Cersei. - Tatler
MOST EPIC SCENE: On the ship, when Jaime asks about the isle in the distance, and the guy replies ‘The Sapphire Isle.’ That moment is a testament to Jaime’s journey as a character. There’s so much going on in his eyes as he looks out into the sea. I’m curious to see what becomes of him and Brienne, if anything, but it’s obvious she means something to him. - JoBlo
Also sailing away is Jaime Lannister and Bronn on a trip to Sunspear. On their voyage, they appear to pass by Tarth, also known as the Sapphire Isles, which Jaime clearly has a place in his heart. In case you didn’t pick up on this, Brienne of Tarth is from the Sapphire Isles so I find it very interesting that they included this. Is a Jaime and Brienne reunion in store for us in the future? Maybe. - MikeyDislikesIt.com
