Adorable 1-year-old hula dancer goes viral

a biome so unique in south africa that it's earned an entirely new biome classification for itself. so many plants are endemic to this area, and ofc it's under threat of extinction.

I know this is a broader thing about Bee being disconnected from his culture, but this comic specifically gets more interesting if he lost his voice during the war, even if he got it back later. Not only has this war created a divide and raised him in a broken hell of what should have been his home, it took his voice as he was learning to speak.

Because of the harm and brutality and destruction of war, he literally lost the ability to speak and communicate with his peers, even though he understood their words. He literally could not talk like them, cannot use his own language like them because war has ripped that familiarity away

It’s the same barrier, it’s one of the many the war put between him and his people.
