Robby calling Jack from the road, promising he’ll change for him (Robby’s pov)
Lyrics below the cut
Pov Jack leaves the dishes in the sink one time and Robby shows up to work 3 hours early on Jacks shift wearing this:
(He thinks he is hilarious. Revenge is so sweet)
We do NAWT talk enough about how Jack is 5’8 and Robby is 6’0. Robby and Jack swap clothes almost all the time and Robby’s shirts hug his shoulders and chest but feel a bit to long and he has to tug Robby’s oants up a bit higher then he should have to. Meanwhile when Robby wears Jack’s shirts or pants, the pants are slightly high up on his ankles and the shirts lift up when he stretches his arms but they are loose around his chest. Both of them love the way their clothes swallow each other in different ways, but Robby’s biggest guilty pleasure is when Jack wears his sweaters and sits on the couch with the hood up, swallowed by the big fabric and a big fluffy blanket after a hard shift. He’ll climb into the blanket with Jack and hide in his side. Massaging any skin he can find whilst practically begging to skip their next shift and sleep.
Rabbot hc! I LOVE THEM SMMM
Rabbot who has a king size bed because the both of them take to much room and like to starfish.
Abbot who is immediately drawn to Robby whenever they are in a big room and finds comfort in him.
Robby who plays with Abbot's hands as they are wating in line for smth since he knows Abbot gets antsty when sitting/standing still.
Abbot who likes to cook ever since Robby made him scrambled eggs and they were absolutely soggy which was a absolute disgusting mess.
Robby who started to get into Journaling during his sabbatical. And yeah he isn't good at it, but it made him thing about how small items hold so much meaning.
Abbot who has a problem with sharing his things, especially his clothes, even with Robby. He likes his clothes to smell like him and not anyone else.
Robby who tends to pick at his nails when his anxiety is high and has to keep his hands busy to ground himself from sprilaing.
Abbot who is very chatty and times and loves to talk to Robby once he gets home from work while Robby is still exhausted from his shift a couple hours earlier.
Rabbot who loves Hamilton, but use the excuse its just for learning history.
This is literally married couple arguing
Jack and Robby who show up to work together and also leave work together and somehow no one catches onto the fact that they are in fact married until Santos asks what Robby’s diet looks like in context to a patient or something and Robby just goes “Jack feeds me real good” and that’s how he outs them accidently but jacks also so happy people finally know their together.

Recommending The Pitt to everyone just to have them call me crying a few hours later. Peak television tbh.
Rabbot on their annual date to the fair and every year Jack is determined to win the top prize for the strong man game.
He always draws a crowd to watch him ring that bell over and over, and at the front of them is his husband playfully shaking his head.
Jack wins and hands over an obscenely large stuffed to Robby, who complains but lugs it around with pride.
these scenes playing back to back is actually so sick and twisted
Instead of Robby going on “sabbatical” Jack takes a week of emergency leave and the two of them rent a house somewhere on the coast in a different state, far away from the Pitt.
They walk along the sandy beach, let the cool water crash over their legs, and lay in the sun. Robby reads to Jack and enjoys the peaceful snores he gets instead of applause.
Jack makes them breakfast every morning. Robby learns the morning yoga is good for you, even if he isn’t willing to get as bare as Jack does.
That week does more for him than three months ever could. Robby could leave PTMC behind, he could abandon it so far in the distance that the only thing in front of him was a cliffside.
But he can’t leave this.
I just love when he 👍👍

Jack is catching a quick nap in the break room before his shift actually starts, hunched over the table in a way his back will definitely be complaining about later.
Robby on the other hand, is on the verge of exploding if he doesn't get a minute to himself. If he had a nickel for every MAHA moron that walked through those doors deciding that they were the doctor, that they "knew better" than his students and his residents, he'd be rich enough to remodel the whole of PTMC. He warns Dana. Dana tells him to take a break. And, fortunately, he seems to take the hint.
He finds Jack in the break room snoring quietly. The volume that isn't an interruption or disturbance, just background noise. Like leaving a fan running. It's there, it's noticeable, but it's not grating. He'd be lying if he said he didn't shoot the man a funny look though. There's no way that's comfortable.
The presence of Jack helped Robby settle. Like a therapy dog. They just lie there, doing nothing, but you feel a little calmer anyway. Co-regulating.
Robby filled a cup with some watery coffee and sat down in the seat closest to Jack, quiet as to not disturb him. Even so, he saw the man shift slightly. Hairpin trigger, safety always off.
As much as he didn't want to disturb him, he couldn't let Jack stay in that position. Chances are he'd wake up feeling like a used tissue, push through it, and end up worse off than before. He had a duty not to let him stay in such a state. Robby nudged his arm lightly, then a little more forcibly, an action that only earned him a grunt in response. It's like Jack knew it was Robby trying to wake him and was purposefully staying asleep.
"C'mon, man. You're gonna hate yourself for this when you wake up."
"No I won't." Jack mumbled back in that not-quite-awake manner.
"You will. Come on, sit up." Jack righted himself with a few crackles and pops of joints, a vague grimace on his sleep softened features. Robby had to swallow a laugh as he saw the red mark on his forehead where it had been resting against his arm and the glimmer of drool at the corner of his pursed lips.
"You got anywhere else to be?" Jack asked, groggy and ever so slightly disoriented. Robby paused, head turning to the door as though he expected to be called away immediately.
"Not that I know of."
"Good." And with that, Jack rested himself against Robby's side, using the man as a replacement. His breathing slowed back down, eyes fluttering shut. Robby stiffened ever so slightly. "Let Al-Hashimi pick up the slack for the final fifteen."
"Don't drool on me." Robby huffed as he rested his head against Jack's, relishing the calm intimacy of the moment.
"No promises."
Pls accept this poorly coloured doodle as an apology for not posting great as of recent
We really don’t talk about Robby reading Jack’s letter to the veteran’s sister enough. Voice breaking as he reads the raw emotion in Jack’s words, bathing in his compassion and experiencing his grief secondhand. He understands Jack deeply as both an attending physician and a person, it’s written all over his face, and he is truly honored to be the one to deliver his message of comfort and solidarity to the grieving family. GOD. What a deliciously poignant tile in the subtly rich mosaic of the Jack/Robby onscreen intimacy.
there are two wolves inside me
one that understands that undoing toxic masculinity relies heavily on good, healthy depictions of male friendship where they are capable of talking to each other about their feelings and recognizing when their friends aren't doing well, where they can ask one another straight up if they are thinking about suicide and have it be a platonic expression of the love that they do inherently have for each other, and normalizing the idea that it is not gay/embarrassing/feminine for male friends to tell each other that they love each other
and one that LOVES the idea of two older guys with prior heterosexual relationships finding something deeply profound and romantic with one another and using that bond to pull each other back from the brink time and time again and understanding that while this is not the relationship that defined them in their younger years it is 100% the relationship that is going to define them for the rest of their lives
