tag yourself, am spart
My friends and I love this video so I made some Fanart and did little redraws of all the cats and presumably what they say. Still love Spart
I have known atheists who genuinely believe vaccines cause autism, tout the benefits of essential oils, and replaced a Christian fear of the Devil with a fear of "chemicals."
I know religious people who work in healthcare and STEM, do regular labwork, author scientific papers, and speak at universities as experts in their field.
Equating atheism with "science" and religion with "anti-science" is inaccurate, bigoted, and shows ignorance about religion outside (typically American) fundamentalist Protestantism.
[Video description: A compilation of clips from Star Trek: The Next Generation showing the instances in which Picard pulled his shirt. It is edited so that every time he pulls his shirt, his badge flies off of his uniform with a 'pop' sound. End description]
nothing fills my heart with more violence than the sight of a naked wrapping paper roll
this is how Cain killed Abel
reblog to bonk the person you reblogged it from on the head
Man, I hope that girl managed to figure things out.
I distinctly remember during Ye Olde Hellish Childhood Days of being dragged to Baptist churches this one guest preacher that went on and on about how important it is for Christian men to be friends with other Christian men but how difficult it is for men to have friends, because of course when you become friends with another man you will naturally want to have sex with him, so the temptation, y'know? It's tough, resisting those urges to have sex with all your man friends when you're a man, all you men know what I mean. It's so hard. You must be Very Strong In Your Faith before you can handle the responsibility of being friends with another man, so you will be able to Resist The Devil and not have sex with them.
14 year old me sat there in my pew, thinking. I think I know something about this man that he does not know.
Eating while on shift is not permitted, staff are told. “If the system detects no keyboard stroke and mouse click, it will show you as idle for that particular duration, and it will be reported to your supervisor. So please avoid hampering your productivity.”
A training video about the webcam system, seen by the Guardian, says it “monitors and tracks real-time employee behaviour and detects any violations to pre-set business rules, and sends real-time alerts to managers to take corrective actions immediately”.
Capitalism is so exhausting
Fuck this
This is insane.
Capitalism is so innovative /s
Hi! Want to completely fuck the keyboard-tracking system in the ass? Want to do it in a way that they literally cannot do anything about without disabling primary Windows functions?
Step 1: Open Notepad.
Step 2: Copy the following text, line for line, omitting only the --- that caps either end of it. --- Dim objResult Set objShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell") Do While True objResult = objShell.sendkeys("{NUMLOCK}{NUMLOCK}") Wscript.Sleep (6000) Loop --- Step 3: Save this as whatever.vbs, put it somewhere you can access easily, and double click it when you start your computer.
What does this do?
This runs a very basic script, and every six seconds, your computer will double-tap the NumLock key (i.e., turn it on, and then off) in a single instant. This counts as a key-press, occurs with a key that shouldn’t affect most things that you’re doing, occurs with no gap between them even if it could affect things you’re doing, and should prevent this kind of BS from engaging. As an aside, this will also prevent your computer from automatically locking itself, so take that into account if you need to manually lock your computer when going to lunch or whatever.
Damn, Tumblr back at it. Now we got coders coming in to save the day.
Tumblr’s collective hate for capitalism is astounding every time but damn if I don’t love it
For all my call center readers.

they do this so that they can prove people use the library, figure out what books are popular so they can make sure to get more like it or further entries in a series, and to figure out what times the library is more buisy while ive never killed a person in a library (yet) i do sometimes unshelve additional books to boost the statistics thus resulting in increased funding for the library, however small
librarians being a-ok with murder but draw the lines at reshelving books is painfully on brand

I'll let you in on a secret. I have a doctorate in education, but the field’s basically just a 100 years old. We don’t really know what we’re doing. Our scholarly understanding of how learning happens is like astronomy 2000 years ago.
Most classroom practice is astrology.
Covid killed my dad. Get the fucking vaccine if you’re able. If you can and refuse, you’re no better than a fucking terrorist. You just kill people by spreading a fucking preventable illness instead of with bombs and guns.
Yep, worth reblogging everytime I see it.
