Laufeyson Line- Spring 2015

Finally debuted my Laufeyson line March 6th at the JCCC fashion show: Eclectic Statements! Yes, it is Loki inspired. Tied for fourth out of the nine designers that entered, so for the first fashion show that I was in and the fact that I have been sewing for only 2 years...I'm pretty stoked! :D
So I finally debuted my Loki fashion line yesterday! I'll get the rest of the pics up tomorrow, but here's a sneak peek!
I'm thinking the Jonas Brothers Pandora station is the best thing to work on my line and sew my fingers off to ever. I get to feel like I'm 14 again and I'm not afraid of life and stressed to the point of crying every 5 minutes! What an idea!
My room is an absolute disaster (couldn't find one of my patterns...), I hate myself slightly because I chose to work with pleather, and I'm absolutely exhausted. But hey, the top part of the coat piece I'm working on is almost done (although it was supposed to be entirely completed today) and it doesn't look awful. I can't do this anymore now though- I'm going to sleep. For a week.
My corset is finished! Now I have to finish the other 11 pieces in 13 days. Oh boy.

Uuuuugh I jinxed myself. Guess whose machine ate her fabric? This girl's. Argh. At least the damage isn't terrible.
Guess who bought herself an ironing board and a new sewing machine finally? THIS GIRL. 😄 (Plus I finally made a wrist pin cushion!)

There's never a wrong time to dress up like you're in the forties.
So my boyfriend and I dressed up as Steve and Natasha for the Captain America: The Winter Soldier premiere.
The movie was frigging fanastic and I'm pretty happy with our costumes for the short time we worked on them.
Tiny Princess Captain America finally outgrew her dress, so this Halloween, it was time for her long-promised Tiny Princess Thor! I think she might like this one better…it has a sparkly cape, after all. Also a hammer. (“What do you hit with the hammer at daycare, Tiny Princess Thor?” “*pause* I don’t know.” “Nothing! You hit nothing with the hammer!”) (She did not, in fact, hit anything with the hammer at daycare. Though she did cry when they had the kids change out of their costumes after their Halloween party, because she wanted to keep wearing her dress.)
Oh, and Big Tiny Princess Thor and Big Tiny Princess Captain America have a message for Iron Man…

So I went to my first Comicon (just a smaller one near my hometown) and it was pretty awesome! I was a little dissapointed in the lack of speakers and everything, but we went on the shorter day because that was the one that worked for us, so I think it might've partially been that.
I dressed up as Fem!Ten and my boyfriend was Scarecrow! And there was a dalek there which just made my life. So it was still pretty successful.
you know you're a cosplayer when you're about to cut your super long hair and think, "oh sHIT I CAN'T BE ARWEN FOR THE HOBBIT PREMIERE IF I CUT MY HAIR"
So my boyfriend and I went as Abed and Troy's cosplays of the Inspector and Constable Reggie from Inspector Spacetime from Community for Halloween... There's a mouthful. xD We had one person recognize us at least! Awesome time- no matter what. :D
