PS: Everyone is allowed to selfship in whatever way they want!! For selfshippers that feel like many of the posts you see are unrealistic and don’t reflect you and your F/O’s relationship, here are some honest and nuanced messages.

“Your F/O would never get angry with you.” -> When your F/O gets mad, they have a special tone reserved only for you. It holds you gently even when it’s firm, and maintains control without sacrificing honesty. The depth of their affection for you is evident in so many ways, including the way they approach conflict with you. Even when the feelings might be negative, you can always see the love attached to them.

“Your F/O would never think you’re weird.” -> Your F/O LOVES how weird you are!! Your uniqueness is what draws them to you, and sets you apart from the sea of people they could have chosen. Whether or not your quirks get on their nerves sometimes is insignificant; they’re just so happy to have them all memorized.

“Your F/O would never overstep your boundaries!” -> Your F/O watches you and listens to you closely. Even if they’re not perfect, they notice small changes within you and care about you—even if it means adapting to things they’re not used to doing. They intend to keep learning more about you for the rest of their life, and there’s no sign of them ever getting bored. They always repair things with you, and this will never ever change.

“Your F/O would never feel put out by you.” -> You are worth the effort. Every single time. Even when the tasks themselves feel burdensome, you are always worth the effort it takes to help you and take care of you. It is paid back tenfold every time they get to see you joyful and healthy. Imagine your f/o pining for you. They haven't been able to think straight for weeks upon weeks. Maybe months, even *years*.

They see you, and their heart squeezes, that fluttery feeling erupting within their chest.

What can they do to get you to notice them? What way can they ask to hang out without sounding too awkward or forward? They havent a clue on how to even approach their feelings-- but one thing is for sure, they want to be with you so badly.

They picture going out on dates, doting on you, what your first kiss would be like. They can't take only thinking about you anymore, they want to act, they need to have you.

They need your lips on theirs, to hold your face, to grab your waist and to bring you closer and finally *have* you. To be within the reach of your affections.

To look into your eyes, even a passing glance, a quick smile to follow...they think you're so sweet to take in. You're their future in their eyes.

To be yours would be their honor, but to be theirs is what will be their pride.

I just saw a very, very, VERY shitty post while going through the selfship tags, so I feel like I should say this:

Your f/o would NEVER see you as lesser or a "subhuman" just because you look different and your f/o would NEVER hate you over having a physical difference or deformity of any kind.

Your f/o loves you even with your scars, burns, misaligned appearance, acne or anything else I haven't mentioned.

Your f/o actually loves that you're unique and no matter what the reason for your appearance is, they'll still love you no matter what, they still think you're beautiful/handsome.
