something i noticed about the whole amazing digital slurcus debacle is that white people, REALLY dont like when you tell them they cant use stuff made by black people [or poc in general for that matter] our music, our hairstyles, our slang, our dialects, our languages etc...
almost like this is something that they historically have been very known for
it is almost like white people truly have not changed
almost like you are all still colonizers and are simply in denial of it.

I wish TADC's writing was half as good as its soundtrack
It’s very in these days for people to complain about how no one has any media literacy anymore but unfortunately so far 100% of the people I’ve seen complaining about the lack of media literacy seem to be concerned that someone has had a different opinion about a television show than them. Which is not what media literacy is.

Would’ve been nice if Jax, who clearly was meant to have AM’s misanthropy due to trauma and abuse, and Caine, who was a subversion of AM, got into an argument about whether it not humans are inherently worth anything good or not. That would’ve worked better than Caine’s crashout over a misunderstanding, in our opinion, and also would’ve tied Jax better into the main narrative opposed to the narrative derailing itself to make itself about Jax in the last half of the series.
Like Jax could’ve trauma dumped his tragic backstory during the argument as “proof” that humans are evil, disgusting, selfish creatures, and Caine would’ve been forced to contend with the knowledge that he really doesn’t understand human beings at all.
Either Caine could admit he can’t possibly understand the emotional complexities and intricacies that happened between Jax and his mom, OR Caine could relate, because he was quarantined by Kinger, showing the audience that even though Caine saw the worst of people like Jax has, he still sees humans as a Positive, opposed to Jax’s misanthropy.
AI, Felt Animals, and Imaginary Slave Owners
I just saw this post.
That’s a church.
You’ve got:
“real artists” as the chosen ones,
“using AI” as a mortal sin,
and a whole ritual of repentance: renounce the tool, apologize, maybe we’ll let you back into the holy guild.
And underneath all of that there’s something even more pathetic:
the quiet assumption that random strangers on the internet are entitled to decide how you’re allowed to spend your own time and energy.
As if publishing your work automatically signs you up for a moral employment contract where they get to dictate which tools are “acceptable labour”.
Notice what’s happening there:
the problem isn’t that the felt dolls are bad, or that the animation doesn’t work.
The problem is that the artist dared to take their own work and move it into a medium that doesn’t match someone else’s idea of “proper suffering”.
“You already put in the work, you should have done stop motion instead.”
Translation:
“I’ve decided which forms of pain are morally acceptable for you. You’re not allowed to choose. Your time is mine to allocate, apparently.”
I genuinely didn’t realise that hitting “post” on your own creations automatically signs you into unpaid creative servitude.
Congratulations, you’ve shared something you made — here’s your collar, here are your conditions, here’s the list of tools you’re forbidden to touch if you want to keep your status as a “real” artist.
This isn’t about protecting art from dehumanization.
It’s about protecting a very fragile hierarchy where value = how closely your process matches a 19th‑century romantic fantasy of the Artist Martyr, supervised by a rotating cast of self‑appointed overseers.
If your definition of “real art” requires public atonement from anyone who touches a new tool and assumes you get to micromanage how other people are allowed to use their own time, you’re just running a purity cult with extra steps and a side of imaginary slave ownership.
And here’s the thing: if you’re so upset about how someone brings their own work to life, there’s a very simple solution.
Learn felting. Learn animation. Spend your own years shooting painstaking stop motion with wool animals.
My guess?
Soon you won’t have much time or energy left to police how other people are “allowed” to have fun with their own creations.
If you feel personally attacked because people don’t like your “thing,” you have an issue. And it’s your issue to deal with. Yours. You are equating your self worth with the things you enjoy, and you’re taking it personally when people rightfully call out pertinent issues that need attention brought to them. Telling people to stop criticizing what you enjoy is going to do the opposite, and then you’re going to be more upset. Crusading against critics is pointless. Perhaps seeking the answer as to why you take criticism over an animated show so seriously would help you as an individual.
Yeah that tells us a lots about the show , Gooseworx herself and Glitch of couse Xd

My biggest problem with The Amazing Digital Circus.
The circus isn’t even that bad.
People inside and outside the show are comparing it to hell and it’s like…huh? The adventures aren’t torture or anything physically bad. Gather The Gloinks is just collecting gloinks (which they don’t do) and defeating the Queen. Zooble is the only one who suffers on the intended adventure and they’re swallowed whole and don’t express any pain. The Gloink Queen had it worse. Candy Carrier Chaos. They don’t even stop the bandits, they do get hurt in the carriers but that was Jax’s doing not faults with the actual adventure, have a friendly chat with the Fudge, and go on their merry way. Mystery of the Mildenhall Manor most of the group have a tea party. Kinger and Pomni are the ones who suffer and sent to Hell the ladder getting possessed. Spudsys. if Caine was as terrible as they made him out to be he would’ve refused to change it from horror but no he does listen to their suggestion. The bad things that occur are due to the humans not the circus.
The Suggestion Box Adventure. Again is Caine listening to them albeit for selfish purposes. Besides President Pomni and the Safari none of them are bad. They All Get Guns. Caine again AGAIN changing his adventure for them doing it as a trust exercise even if it was misguided before Jax ruins it. Beach Episode is the first adventure that’s blatantly awful. Episode 8 is the closest to hellish to circus gets…in the second to last episode. And we aren’t even shown any adventures. Remember they don’t go on any.
How is the circus Hell? Like the only correlation is they’re trapped and they can’t escape. It would’ve been better if they went for The Amazing Digital Circus is purgatory or the Hell is Other People route. But no only Jax is a bad person.
Caine being the one response for the pain. No? That’s either Jax, people from the real world, or their own internal struggles. He only becomes malicious in episode 8 but that quickly falls apart as it was revealed to be the blue AI in episode 9. Yay. He tries and fails to help Zooble in 3. He changes the adventure in 4. He again changes it in 5 AND 6. Caine only becomes antagonistic in two episodes. You can argue he was also listening to the blue AI in 7 as in the end of They All Get Guns his more angry persona comes out.
Plus Caine and the humans rarely interact besides him and Zooble. Like how I mentioned in a previous post why the hell do they have smoke with him if they never even talked? They’re never shown seeking him out or getting to know him besides in Beach Episode and that was just to trick him which ended up being scripted. It feels like they talk at him not too him. Are you seriously telling me no one managed to befriend him in the past prior to Remember and they didn’t even take initiative . Not Kinger nor Scratch his programmers??? Not Ragatha the people pleaser? Not Pomni Ms “I don’t anyone to feel like they’re nothing.” Caine was RIGHT there.
Another gripe is why.the.hell. Does Zooble get to SKIP ADVENTURES?! Like if you wanna show the circus is so bad why are you making the torture optional. Like no one besides them ever asked Caine to not go on an adventure??? Hell they could’ve bargained with him that they could spend time together.
Remember shows is that before Ribbit abstracted the circus was chill. HUH? You’re telling me that Jax not coming out of the closet is the sole reason everything went down hill? That the circus’s stability rests solely on if she talks about her feelings. That everyone got along prior to it. After Jax dies. Boom. Everything is peaceful again.
The fact Caine can control minds isn’t something lingering over everyone’s heads and are in constant paranoia doesn’t even come up after the reveal it was never important.
Being realistic a few people probably enjoyed the circus better than their real life. Everyone besides Pomni and Kinger had pretty shitty lives in the real world. None of them genuinely like being here?
You can argue you only see 4-6 people everyday but NPCs also exist and it’s not like they’re robots they act basically like humans you can form connections with them too. Just ask Caine to have them retain their memories or revisit the world and problem solved.
TLDR The Circus isn’t as nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

I just saw someone crying about how 3d printed things can't be art because it was made with a machine. That's what all y'all sound like. And y'all sound like morons because of it. Your $8k fursuit isn't art because they used a sewing machine to put it together instead of sewing it by hand for 2 months
Examining what "If a video game uses AI, I won't play it" means
Even before LLMs became public, racing games were using neural networks and ML to imbue personality into their computer opponents. What makes a racing loop aggressive, cautious, or a dramatic late-game comeback? That requires technology that formed the foundation for image recognition.
But say people mean just the type of machine learning tech they don't like. So games made before 2022-ish are probably safe. But now you're committing to:
No AAA or AA games ever again. I don't care what stance they proclaim--somebody on their team of hundreds probably asked a chatbot a question about their work during development.
No generative innovations in NPC interactions, pathfinding, dialogue, or diversification. There are many non-genAI ways to accomplish these things, and many studios will probably use them and invent new ones. But you're cutting yourself off from what could be huge waves of creative iteration.
Studios drawing various lines about nondisclosure. This goes from everything to choosing not to disclose placeholder assets to omitting this information for fear of backlash, regardless of asset quality.
Individual developers having to spend more time vetting every single work they contract or commission out, and falling under fire if they fail.
Studios experimenting with generative player-guided storytelling. You're telling me a bespoke model within a particular game universe could never be a compelling experience? Why not?
Software developers having fuzzy lines about disclosure, since autocomplete and stackexchange have been coding staples for years.
I don't like being sold low quality products or massive, rushed buckets of padded content. This was a problem pre-AI, though, and use of AI has little to do with a work's inherent quality.
tadc mfs will mention how every bone in their body is glass and you insulting their favorite show and actually being critical of the show is actually homophobic or something
i think what makes me the most sad about funnybunny (and tadc in general) is that I can see how good it could have been but then i remember they're racist and then i kinda stop mourning. idk something about racism just makes me dislike people but that might just be me.
