Bakugou was, unfortunately, a little pathetic when it came to you. Not that he’d ever admit it. He could yell at villains, argue with anyone, and walk around like he owned the place but you smiled at him and suddenly he forgot what he was saying.

“You look pretty today.”

“Yeah, well, you—” He stopped, ears turning red. “…Shut up.”

You laughed. “What?”

“Nothing.”

It got worse whenever you were sitting together in the afternoon sun. Sometimes you’d be talking and he’d just… stare.

“Katsuki?”

“Hm?”

“Were you even listening?”

“Yeah.”

“What did I say?”

“…I don’t know.”

You laughed, and he sighed, leaning his head against yours.

“Was thinking about taking a nap with you.”

“Aww.”

“Don’t.” You smiled anyway.

Years later, he got much better at taking care of you. He was confident about it now, too but the loserboy traits never really left.

You’d catch him staring at you, he’d get embarrassed when you kissed his cheek, and he’d still pretend he wasn’t completely gone for you. You didn’t mind. Honestly, you loved him more for it.
