Quick PSA for the POW Creations / PanSMP fandom because I unfortunately do need to make this post.

Hello-hello! I’m Krash, I am half-Greek IRL. My dad’s side of the family is from Greece and Cyprus, and I live in America. I tend to avoid Greek mythology spaces online such as the PJ and Epic fandom because people are very… I hesitate to say racist, but very abnormal about how they interact with the Greek mythos, ethnicity, and overall culture. Unfortunately, the PanSMP community is starting to follow in that trend (and the server isn't even out yet, mind you).

Onto the point of this post- if you yourself are not Greek, it is not your place to be upset or offended by portrayals of the gods or myths- this is INCLUDING non-Greek people that converted to Hellenic Polytheism and well-read fans of the mythology.

People in these spaces tend to forget that this is a real culture that belongs to a real people, and that we are still around. Greek myths are still Greek, regardless of if the modern culture is identical to the ancient one or not. The modern culture is more centered on Eastern Orthodoxy, but the ancient culture and stories are very much still relevant! Modern Greeks (in my experience) generally treat the mythos more as folklore, but it is still something that holds a lot of our pride and ethnic identity- them being stories that survived for as long as they did.

It can be very upsetting seeing our old myths / gods taken entirely outside of their cultural context; non-Greeks policing what is or is not an “authentic” portrayal of them while erasing Greek features, mocking Greek names (“telemarketer” and “antibiotics” being recent examples), sexualizing the ancient clothing (often using SWANA and SEA aesthetics to do so), and using Hellenic Polytheism (the modern revival of the old religion) to claim a heritage that isn’t theirs and then use this to erase / talk over modern Greeks.

So far the PanSMP space has only had the “policing authenticity” part of the above issues, but I wanted to mention the rest to avoid a future headache.

TL:DR; You are allowed to dislike aspects of PanSMP, you are allowed to prefer different versions of the myths, but please remember that the majority of you are a guest in this culture- it is not yours.

That said, PanSMP has presented a very fun and engaging concept that is fully respectful!! I trust POW Creations and the CCs to handle it well and look forward to watching the SMP when it drops! :D

You don't have to like or interact with that stuff. In fact, if you don't like it, don't interact, avoid it even.

Headcanons are fun because they build off of cannon or just because some people like to add stickers to their favorite! You don't have to follow a headcanon! Even a popular one! And if people harass you for going against that headcanon? Then yeah, they're assholes, but don't shit on the people who do like that headcanon!

Just because a ship is cannon doesn't mean its always right/enjoyable for everyone! Some people just enjoy different dynamics than the cannon or think the chemistry was better between different characters! And some people even like multiple ships with the same characters! And again, if people shit on you for liking a canon ship (so long as it's not illegal)? Then they can fuck off! Do not shit on people having harmless fun!

I see this character as LGBTQ because I relate to them! I see their struggle and myself in them! And other people awe themselves in that character in different ways! I can see a character as a trans masc and someone else could see them as trans fem, and that's ok! We both just want a character we can relate to in media, and sometimes we have to twist canon a bit for it!

Because that is erasing a minority! Especially if the characters has a specific non straight sexuality! No one is starved of cishet media! Let us have our canon queer characters! Please! Sorry that you think x character is hit but you are the opposite sex, but don't take them away from a starved community! Make your own hot character based off of x character! No one will stop you!

You say you're not homophobic but you are! Even if its accidental, you are causing harm! You can hurt people and grow as a person after, but you have to be willing to learn!

I had a vision when I woke up this morning of two of the outsiders gang, pretty sure it was Steve and Two-bit, as trans fem.

I, personally, do not headcanon either of them as trans fem, however, I could vividly see them in drag/crossdressing.

I feel like Steve would only crossdressing in private or as a dare at the curtis house, if he does like the way dresses feel, he tells no one and tries not to acknowledge it, if he hates it? Well life goes in as normal and there is no femboy Steve Randle hiding out.

Anyway the main point of this post was to talk about Two-bit. I can vividly see him dressing up every once in awhile and going by she/her while in this fem persona because in my mind I like to think he already has long hair that's normally greasy and up out of the way. So I drew him with his hair down and cleaned up (first version has my attempt at more drag like makeup)

And now, because I personally see Two-bit as a red head that looks brunette from all that grease.

And then it spiraled out of control in my mind as an au where Charry didn't exist it was just Two-bit living a double life (because obviously he does not tell the gang about this.)

he comes up with the persona of Sharry/Cherry, and at first she's mumbling in a higher pitched voice in order to pass as a girl but over time she figure pit how to sound fem and still be pretty loud. And then Cherry is just a well known soc that hangs around from time to time and doesn't attend school or get drunk or go on dates.

Eventually he gets caught by one of the gang who saw Cherry up close and in good lighting for once and he has to either come clean or try and get them in on it.

I see Two-bit as a cishet man. A cishet man that enjoys a little dress up and seeing what soc' talk about.
