I have talked about this before but as someone who has indulged in writing fantasy, I really dislike the trope of poc people not being allowed to have poc features

you can’t have textured hair, you can’t have black hair, you can’t have dark eyes, you can’t have wide or bigger noses

at most you get tattoos and dreads (if that)

and though I do only write historical fantasy (so Arabic people would have to look Arabic and Africans look African so on so fourth) I would like more contemporary fantasy to create human characters that reflect real ethnic groups
