As much as confession blogs are awesome, I don't think they should be platforming ableism and sanism under the excuse of "free speech". Your freedom stops where other's start: you can't hate on people for existing as existing is their right.

the concepts "fiction is fiction, its not hurting anyone" & "when consumed by the wrong people, content romanticizing dangerous concepts can be harmful" & "you are responsible for your own consumption" can and need to be able to coexist
Profiction/proshipping, at its core, is a combination of three ideas:
Ship and let ship (your ships don't harm me and vice-versa) and YKINMK (your kink is not my kink, and that's okay; my kink stories don't harm you and vice-versa)
Harassment over fiction is not acceptable
Censorship of fiction is not acceptable either
That's it.
And sexualising minors and animals but you don't want to talk about that :<
*whoosh*
" if you're ____ you can't use this label i coined! "
that's not how shit works. if i identify with a label you made, i'm going to use it and you're going to get the hell over it???? you don't get to nitpick who identifies as what. that's common sense, i fear.
Hey dude you did NOT invent anarqueer… Are you trying to redefine the term?? /genq
Your pinned reads like a coining post- “anarqueer” as a mentality has been around since the stonewall riots at LEAST, and is more a descriptor of the overlap between queer and anarchist principles than anything else. And the term has been widely used for years, in all sorts of queer circles.
It doesn’t inherently support everything you mentioned, nor is it inherently against everything you said it was?
~ 🌌
Let me clear up the confusion there /g
The queer anarchism movement is what you're reffering to in your post. I did not know it got shortened as anarqueer.
Anarqueer, as a blankqueer term, expands on that, but goes much farther.
I'll look into it, and if queer anarchy is indeed shortened to that, i might change the name /g
Upon further research, it seems to be shortened to "anarcho-queer" mostly, but I'll switch the name up anyway to avoid confusion.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention! /g

Note that any arguments relying on ableism, pro-psychiatry, pro-incarceration, purity culture, anti-kink, and other discriminatory "values" will get blocked and deleted. So will non-discussion, just plain mean comments.
when i say community
i mean staying with the victims of violence until the emts get there
i mean not letting the cops get them alone even though you just met
i mean carrying around extra pain and allergy meds not just for yourself, but in case anyone else needs them too
i mean giving them to anyone regardless of if you actually like them as a person
i mean password sharing and spreading links to your favorite pirating site
i mean helping that stranger set up a workaround for their broken computer
i mean helping them understand the weird ass language in a job application
i mean helping people understanding medical information when their doctors did a bad job
i mean letting someone sleep on your couch so they don't have to go home
i mean checking if people have rides home
i mean "text me so i know youre safe when you get home"
i mean "have you eaten today"
i mean "have you eaten enough today"
i mean "what do you want, i'm buying tonight"
i mean "hey does anyone have experience with this med, my doctor wants to put me on it but i'm not sure"
i mean "here's a zine on going off of psych meds with minimal risk"
i mean "hey you weren't at the show tonight, are you doing ok?"
i mean "i have a spare room if you ever need it"
i mean "i'm here, i promise i'm here"
i don't know how to communicate to people that therapy is not an ontological good-- that, when performed "correctly," it's still harmful and coerces the patient into expressing and processing their emotions normatively so as to make them more suited for labor under a capitalist system
Since the holiday toy drive post is circulating again, I figured this would also be helpful! Food insecurity is such a massive problem in America, in general, and if you have the means to help feed others, I think you should take that opportunity. Here are some other tips:
1. If you’re planning on donating items from your own pantry, please check the expiration dates on the packaging. Think of your donations as gifts to bestow, not castoffs to be rid of. It’s awful to think of people feeling like they got scraps someone else just didn’t want. Everyone deserves dignity with their meals.
2. If you’d rather give money to a food bank, that’s also great since they buy food in bulk and know what items are most wanted/needed!
3. Not everyone has access to appliances like stoves or microwaves or hot plates so if you can donate items that don’t need to be heated up, that would also be greatly appreciated!

Common misconceptions about proshipping:
Proship means "problematic shipping"
All proshippers shipp something
All proshipper spaces are NSFW
All proshippers cope using proshipping
All proshippers enjoy all tropes
All proshippers are lolisho
To be a proshipper, you need to engage with and enjoy dark media
Proshipping is just a way to cope. People grow out of that
What really is true:
Proshipping always meant "pro—shipping"
Proshipping means being anti harassment
There are plenty SFW spaces for proshippers. Proshipping can not be summarized as simply being just r34
Not all proshippers use it as a way to cope with something. There are people that just believe that censoship over fiction content and harassment over it is unnecessary.
You don't need to like every trope and every ship to be a proshipper. You can like one, you can like two, you can like NONE! you just need to be respectful.
You don't need to be a lolishocon to be a proshipper.
You can be a proshipper and dislike incest/age gape. You are still a proshipper since you don't go to ppl that enjoy those things and starts harrasing them.
Proshipping is a belief that in fandom spaces, you are free to enjoy fiction that you or other ppl made without the fear of being doxed or getting rape/death threats from random strangers. Respect is the base.
On neoAGABs & xenoAGABs
Here is a good summary of what I've been seeing online, screenshotted & anonymised to leave the op in peace.
64.media.tumblr.com
Yes AGABs are terms to describe how intersex & trans people are made to conform to the sex/gender binary. Yes, that experience is traumatic for many/most.
Some people cope with that by having fun with it and reclaiming it.
I, as an intersex AMAB genderqueer person, consider myself assigned star at birth. Why? Stars are a concept that brings hope, and comfort to my life. This neoAGAB helps me not feel trapped by the binary imposed on me and the trauma that comes with it.
Not everyone may like to use these kinds of terms and identities, and that's completely understandable & valid!! But some might love to, because it allows them to reclaim their suffering and break free og the imposed binary.
The op themselves acknowledges that theses acronyms and the experiences that come with them are personal. So is the way we choose to express ourselves and cope with that.
These identities aren't there to make a mockery of very useful and traumatic terms, but to break free from the pain they cause and allow ourselves to cope, move past it or through it.
Selfshipping terms & resources
Want to get into selfshipping? Good for you! Here are some terms and other things you might want to know ^^
Selfshipping is when you imagine yourself (or an OC) in a relationship with a character you feel a connection with.
Ship is another word for "pairing".
“Yumeship” is another word for “selfship”.
Your “f/o” is the character you imagine yourself with. F/o means "fictional other", it is simply a play on the term “significant other”. F/os can be romantic, platonic, familial, queerplatonic, the list goes on.
A “self-insert” or “s/i” is a character created by you that’s used to ship with canon characters. A self-insert can be you, or just you with different features.
A person who is fictosexual and/or fictoromantic experience sexual and/or romantic attraction to fictional characters. It is a valid sexuality.
Proshipping and profiction are terms for people who are anti-censorship and accept all fiction, even if they personally don't vibe with it.
Comshippers, and darkshippers are people who like ships with darker themes like age gaps, abuse, incest, that kind of thing.
Doubles are people who have the same f/o as another selfshipper.
Also, selfshipping can be a coping mechanism or a hobby! Overall, it’s something that should make you happy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you have a social media account where you want to post content of your ship, don’t worry about what other people will think. We’re all weird and different. If someone judges you, just block them, and tell someone about it if you feel like you need to vent.
There are also lots of people who post imagines, templates, and ask games that you can use to develop your relationship with your partner
Profiction/proshipping, at its core, is a combination of three ideas:
Ship and let ship (your ships don't harm me and vice-versa) and YKINMK (your kink is not my kink, and that's okay; my kink stories don't harm you and vice-versa)
Harassment over fiction is not acceptable
Censorship of fiction is not acceptable either
You can't say that a label is bad faith just because you dislike it. If the person identifies as such genuinely without intention of causing harm, it's good faith!!! You don't have to agree with every good faith identity, but it's just incorrect to pick and choose which labels are good faith based on your political views.
