You are genuinely one of the more sane tadc critics out there. Thank you for informing me on these matters. I feel like people exaggerate some of the stuff, you considered racist, but that's just my opinion.

It's no problem! If people want explanations, I'd rather they get accurate accounts. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people say, "It's not my job to educate you." It isn't, and free labor isn't easy when time is money, but what if they get the wrong information?

I don't think Gooseworx went out of her way to write the most stereotypical depictions of ethnic minorities, but it's a blindspot a lot of white authors have when creating characters of color. I'm a WOC, and I have to think about race daily because I have to. I can't be too quiet, too loud, too much, too little. It's hard to explain if you haven't lived that way, but you're virtually walking on eggshells around everyone, knowing you could be the butt of the joke or worse.

How many white people have stories about being nervous to visit their SO's parents because they might call them a slur or make inappropriate comments about how small their eyes are or how dark their skin is?

When making characters of color, white people sometimes fail to remember that the character's experience will be very different from their own. How the characters of color in TADC move around the environment is very indicative that the show was written solely by a white person. And white people can write characters of color; they just have to be checking their racial biases constantly to not accidentally fulfill some sort of stereotype.
