You see a person walking towards you through the Autumn fog. There are more leaves littering the ground than on the trees, and they are kicking them gently with their boots. 

They are dressed in a style reminiscent of the Dark Academia aesthetic, and are fiddling with something in their pocket.

What could it possibly be? A knife? An interesting plant? A book of poetry they will read to you when your paths finally meet?

When their hand finally emerges from the depths of their coat pocket, you see that, no, it isn’t any of the things you imagined.

Trying to explain your asexuality and/or aromanticism is so wild, because how am I supposed to tell you about something I don’t experience.

One time I tried explaining being demiromantic to this kid who sat in front of me 

(got a lot of stories with this kid and they’re all bad, not sure why I tried)

I basically just said what the definition is, and he said something to the affect of “Everyone is like that.”

If everyone needs time to form a close emotional bond with someone to be attracted to them, explain hook-ups. Explain how people will have crushes on someone they’ve talked to once.

It took me ~4 years to begin being romantically attracted to my current partner.

ok so the other day i was at sears. I was in the baby section. Im standing there looking at clothes and a lady who works there comes up and is like “oh are you expecting?” And i was like “uhhhh” and because im a dumbass i was like “no i already delivered.” And she was like “How long ago?” And i was just like “two weeks.” And she said “wow! You look great! When i had my first son, i looked like a mess for six months. Is it a boy or a girl?” And i was just awkwardly like “a girl….” And she asked her name and i said Chernobyl and she was like “oh what a cute name! Okay so I just got off the phone with them. I talked to a trans girl named Aurora & she was super helpful! She gave me a few doctors to talk to & encouraged me to seek therapy instead of just rushing to get my pills. She literally found a trans friendly therapist in my town & I would definitely recommend giving them a call!

Australia is currently petitioning to make it that all gender confirming surgeries for transgender individuals are covered by Medicare. This is absolutely huge as surgeries are super expensive even with private health insurance.

It doesn't ask for an address or phone number or anything so I think anyone in the world can sign for it? But I'm not entirely sure.

EDIT: yeah you gotta be a citizen, so if you're outside the country, if you could reblog this to reach more Australians, this would be amazing!
