Team Comedy!
Art Fight starts next week, so it seemed due time to make and share my team card, so please take a moment to behold mine! I currently have Cassandra, Mikolai, and Clyde on my profile. I was/am hoping to be able to add [REDACTED] if time permits, but I'm taking things relatively easy at the moment given the heat wave and con recovery, so we'll see. I look forward to Art Fight and I hope that you all have fun!!
Labyrinth - A Collaborative Zine
I have a penpal called Miriam and for the past few months we’ve been working on some zines together. Miriam started them off, and then we’d mail them back and forth, each adding things until we decided that we were finished. This is one of three, and for this one we went with a mental health theme. I had so much fun with this little project and I’m looking forward to sharing the other two zines with you! Miriam doesn’t have social media or else i’d tag her, but trust me when I say that she’s very cool and talented :)
Two of Pentacles
Another Art Fight piece! For this one I drew @faestorian 's OC Spark, and her partner Jameson who belongs to @sinbrook ! This is Trigun AU Spark, and Independent earth plant Jameson so of course I was going to draw them!
I chose the Two of Pentacles to represent Gunsmoke's twin suns. The piece is a repaint of J.C. Leyendecker's 'Carnival' Saturday Evening Post cover. WIPs and references are on my ko-fi page if you want to scope those out :)

The Star
For my second Art Fight attack, I drew Taibiax's (on Art Fight) OC, Cori! Cori is a grungey moth girl and I found her design fun and cute; she also gave me a chance to play with some colours that I don't tend to delve into all too often which was nice.
For this piece I repainted Leon Comarre's 'The Flower Seller' but changed Cori into a fabric seller since I thought that this was more fitting for a moth. I also aged her up since she's usually sixteen, because drawing children is not really in my wheel house. I chose 'The Star' for her tarot card since she's based on a comet moth! Fun fact, I am very scared of moths so this was a nice little personal challenge, in a way.

Knight of Swords
For my first ever Art Fight attack, I did a friendly fire attack of @strangeomens-sketch 's OC's Xaavros and Erasmus the Errant. I absolutely loved Erasmus' character design and colour palette, so these two were a great first choice, I think. For this one I repainted Edmund Leighton's 'Accolade' painting, and made it into the Knight of Swords tarot card, and I had such a blast making it!

If Native folks are making it to sell to white people with the approval of their tribe, it’s not “appropriation”–its support and appreciation! So yes, buy that native-made dream catcher, but not the mass produced fakes made by white people. Like, you can go to a pow wow and buy native crafts there, too.

Display Revamp!
When I got back from Sunnycon, I worked on refreshing some parts of my artist alley display that needed a bit of a punch up. I won’t be sharing most of the revamped things, but this one was worth sharing. I did like my old tiered display - it was pretty and I worked very hard on it, but it was no longer thematically consistent and i’ve become increasingly conscious of that at every con. So I finally said goodbye to the stars and redecorated it. I opted out of papering the insides of the tiers, partly for the sake of ease, but i’m still pleased with this :)
CH 08/2: Duelists
Since it's Strimax Saturday, I hope that you all won't mind me sharing another panel colouring! This one is also from chapter eight, because I couldn't decide between the single panel and this double page spread, so I decided to do them both! This one was a lot of work since it's a big image, but it was also a lot of fun so I don't mind the effort at all :)
I decided to change up the colours for the Bad Lads Gang's arm thingies, partly to make the image more readable, and partly because their colour palette as a whole is fun and whimsical and I wanted to add to that! I opted out of adding additional shadows on this one since it is a visually busy image and I was concerned about making it too unreadable, and I think it looks pretty good as is :)

I am a little behind on my colourings compared to where I'm at in the reading, but I'm working to catch up amongst everything else going on in life right now - bear with me though because it's going to be a little slow going! I chose this panel because I just really liked this ruse, I thought it was so much fun :)

Back at Dokomi, there was an OC x Sanrio stamp rally and I absolutely loved the idea of that so I wanted to try my hand at drawing an OC with Sanrio characters! So here is Clyde with Cocoa and Vanilla - I chose them because I think that it'd like that they're stitched together like it is :)
The outfit is based on an outfit from @devilinspiredofficial-blog but I changed most all of the colours. The pose is based on a pin up pose from @theposearchives. WIPs are up on ko-fi if you're interested in scoping out the sketch and line art!

07: Rem
I fell a little behind on both doing my chapter colourings for book club, and on sharing the ones that I have finished, what with all of the con posting. So I figured that since it's a new month and I'm getting started on Art Fight work, why not clear a tiny bit of that back log and share my chapter seven panel colouring! Of course I chose another BDN panel before his part of the story came to an end...
Taroball Con Haul!
I figured that I’d round out June by sharing my little haul from Taroball earlier this month. I got such fun things at this con and am delighted by all of them, so thank you all for the treasures, and thank you to the folks who traded with me!
The Girls Are Graduating!!
Mikolai and Pearl went to the Silver Spire Sanctum where they learned much, I'm sure. And they graduated, and I'm very proud of them, even if all of their learning happened pre-game. I wanted to draw them a graduation picture to celebrate their success and their transition into their new lives as healers. So here they are all dressed up and decked out in their sparkly graduation robes!! I didn't get to go to my university graduation and so getting to draw this was a little cathartic :)

Cassandra Cameo.
Since Art Fight is right around the corner, I figured I'd share another piece of OC art, so here is a quick portrait of Cass. I love cameo's so I wanted to draw one of them because I think that the aesthetic suits them well. I also liked getting to translate some of her avoidant and shier energy in this, it was a good time.
