How do I explain to you people that interracial relationships are okay
Not every white person dating a POC is fetishizing. White people can be respectful and responsible when it comes to culture and relationships and not everyone has bad intentions.
Asian people can date Black people without you saying shit like “your kids will be so pretty” they’re not dating for pretty kids. They’re dating bc they like each other.
Someone can dress their partner in clothing from their culture if they want. Someone can take their partner to cultural events if they want.
People in relationships can share cultures, experiences and love without it being toxic or skin deep.
Their partner isn’t culturally appropriating. Their partner is being shown the ultimate form of love, bc their partner trusts them and loves them enough to share their history and heritage.
Yeah, dating someone from your culture is nice bc you automatically have similar experiences. But you’re not limited to dating people with the same experiences. Loving someone is sharing and growing and being together.
Interracial relationships aren’t always toxic, and some of y’all need to stop projecting onto other people.
👆 THIS 👆 👏👏👏
Calling ineterracial relationships toxic or fetishizing just seem like anti race mixing or racism with extra steps

Can anyone recommend some entry level behaviours? Thinking of getting into being
"it's not a thought crime if you post it because then it's not a thought it's something you said" ouhhhhh my God Can we all just throw ourselves into a river. they're inventing Posting Crimes. you did a Post Crime when you made that silly little kink post. it's only a thought crime if you only think it AND you have to hate yourself for thinking it you have to flagellate every day and be miserable and you have to bathe in boiling hot holy water to absolve yourself and cleanse yourself. you fucking Post Criminal. posting your Thoughts that are Criminal (not a real definable category that matters btw)
can we please talk about how the most miserable people on this website have such a backwards-ass idea of how to deal with intrusive thoughts. like, "it's only an intrusive thought if you perform exactly how disgusted you are by it!!" this is The opposite of what they tell you to do like actually. if you spend all your time wringing your hands over every single bad thought you have that only reinforces it!!!! you need to let it go. it's a thought it cannot hurt you and it isn't what makes you. and you don't need to performatively retch over how despicable the thought may be to an imagined jury. It Doesn't Matter. It's A Thought. Not An Action. And No Simply Saying It Aloud Or Writing It In A Journal Or Posting It To Your Blog Or Writing A Story Doesn't Make It Any More Real Either. Can We Please Stop Being The OCD Reinforcement Website

a girl and her watermelon piece
oh i'm happy that people enjoyed looking at this animal with me.. it's fun to be nice to an animal and with bugs it's often more okay to do than with other animals since it's unlikely you will socialize them to humans to their detriment.
Watermelon piece is a good offering towards any adult wasp, but being a mud dauber she is a great wasp to observe, since they are not very aggressive and their sting is not too bad. I waited until she was a little more hydrated and started grooming herself to remove her from the house, since she was visibly quite dusty i knew it would be the next thing she would want to do.
a really funny behavior was that although she was completely content to be observed by humans, she saw an ant on the counter and got visibly upset, which is understandable since an ant wants to eat a weak bug a lot more than humans do. I removed the ant to keep her from getting too stressed out. she was so mad about the ant and even though it makes sense i thought it was pretty funny since wasps can tell who humans are. she knew we were hanging out and that part was fine, but an ant is just too much!! eventually i put her and her fruit outside.

This month people have been tearing Flock cameras off their poles.
This month people have been tearing Flock cameras off their poles. Perched above public streets, they are birdlike things, weatherproof, and they photograph every passing car and file it in a searchable national database. Somebody cut two of them in half at Washington Avenue and Westcott in Houston, spray-painted the wreckage, and left an American flag on one of them. Police were notified on the morning of the Fourth of July. Somebody severed a camera in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. The police department posted the photograph itself and collected more than twenty thousand comments. “Not all heroes wear capes.” “Give them a medal.” Here is what the cameras do when nobody cuts them down. Cops use them to hunt immigrants and to follow ICE targets across state lines and to find women who ended pregnancies in states where that is a crime and to watch exes and to watch women they want, without a warrant and without a judge. A cop types a reason in a box and the box does not check. A man in Burleson, Texas, told deputies his girlfriend had taken abortion pills. He showed them the photographs, the FedEx envelope, the instructions. Deputies opened a death investigation into a non-viable fetus, and the district attorney told them the state could not charge her, and they searched anyway: 83,345 cameras across 6,809 networks, a month of everywhere she had been. The reason they typed was had an abortion, search for female. The search reached Illinois and Washington, where what she did was legal. They found her in Dallas. She came into the sheriff’s office a week later, and they thought she had come to explain the fetus, and she had come to report that the man who called them had put a gun to her head. A sheriff in Jerome County, Idaho ran his wife’s plate more than seven hundred times in three months. He typed the same reason every time. Test. The attorney general found nothing to charge him with. He retired in April. The Institute for Justice counts at least twenty-two officers who used the system to track people they were romantically interested in, and calls that almost certainly an undercount. And the cameras keep falling.
Become ungovernable.
Looks like the ACLU has a guide on how to take action in your community. They've already done a lot of ground work.

my favorite chapter 5 ralsei line
"Breach of research ethics" needs to have harsher connotations, it's not taken seriously enough for how heinous it actually is.
Like I've taken research ethics classes, I know how harrowing this shit can get, to me "breach of research ethics" has the connotations, "Did some Nazi bullshit and got slapped on the wrist for it."
It's not about some little oopsie where uh oh, the poor researcher may have shaken hands with someone in a way that may have constituted a conflict of interest in their research on yeast cultivation. It's about researchers actively doing harm to people in tangible, material ways.
Some anti-science folks in government are trying to blur the line between "made a mistake on a form" and "lied to human subjects and got them killed" in order to advance the claim that research misconduct is widespread and all scientists are monsters.
Example: the latest round of Fauci hearings. Let's go through years of documents to find an example of something less than ideal, claim it's an actual crime, and harass the guy over it.
This sort of sin leveling is bad for science and makes life far easier for the scientists who actually are being unethical.
And some anti-science bigots employed by the Norwegian government are trying to play off their enormous privacy violations against 1700 transgender youth patients as just "made a mistake on a form."
So to be quite honest, I don't care if this post feels optically inconvenient with regard to some hearings on a different entire continent.
Transfem ralsei is my daughtwr
I'm apparently so consistently aroace that a friend of mine uses me as a measurement for whether or not something counts as "romantic," based on when I stop understanding what he's talking about.
@loraxofygg Stop being funnier than me on my own post (/j).
tumblr keeps giving me these ads with straight up porn in them (like, nude dickriding) and while idgaf about seeing porn I really am like, exhausted by the double edged swords of "terms of service" and "advertising".
I can't post images that show too much of my stomach, because notable body fat trips whatever alarms are up in tumblr HQ. but advertisers can show me skinny white girls bouncing on it all day long bc like, they're advertisers.
we live in advertising world. companies have more rights to "expression" in public than individuals. once you notice it you won't stop seeing it. you have a moral duty to resist it.
getting tired of these kinds of responses. "you're only seeing porn because you look at porn and the ads are connected to your data huehuehuehue" like it's some kind of gotcha.
I am a sex worker - a porn creator. Yes, I spend a lot of time on porn sites! sometimes for work, sometimes for pleasure. I'm not embarrassed to admit it. Do you think I should be? I'm on testosterone, sometimes I jerk off four times a day. Get over it.
When I said "idgaf about seeing porn" I meant it! What I DO care about is the fact that I as a user and a worker cannot post my creative labour on this website, but that advertisers can show me whatever they want, including AI generated Attractive People doing my job. The implication that they're doing this with the use of tracking cookies makes it worse, actually. I don't like living under surveillance. Do you think it's funny? Or do you think that was part of the problem I was trying to talk about from the start?
some of you are not committed to the truth that a trans woman exists as a woman in this world, regardless of her passing.
i reckon some of you are uncomfortable with that fact!
We're gonna have a hard time convincing future generations the phrase "Trumped-up charges" is etymologically unrelated.
