Ok this throwaway post is breaking containment, so I should explain the joke before this starts getting notes with corrections or real advice...

This is how Iori Miyazawa described the development process for Otherside Picnic. The first draft originally had Sorawo as a guy but the story wasn't coming together. Then he happened to see a few episodes of Hannibal and had the lightbulb turn on about same-sex relationship dynamics being compelling enough to carry a serious story. So, being a himedanshi, he decided to go all-in on a long-held desire to write yuri and spent like a year reading josei manga and novels written by women to make sure he understood womens' perspectives on relationships. Then he rewrote the first Otherside Picnic short story with that in mind.

That's the backstory on the Yuri Made Me Human interview. It's basically the writers' equivalent of a comphet rejection arc

Hive mind that actually really hates being a hive mind and it would like to stop being a hive mind as soon as possible, please. Fifteen scientists were in the room where a space rock exploded and welded their consciousnesses together. And even though it now has access to the memories of each of its linked individuals, whenever it tries to find in its gestalt mind where that personality, that individual who made those memories exists, it only finds a stump.

i know this opinion isn't shared by all but i gotta say i'm a huge fan of ranma's hair being a completely different colour in every adaptation. black in the manga, red in the anime, pink in brotherhood. i think in the inevitable live action it should be bright green
