After taking Fort Independence, I gave Preston a desk job in the castle. (The desk functions as a guard post. I chose one with a 2 defense rating, which means he also goes out and uses the regular guard posts, and just generally patrols the castle walls. It’s actually pretty rare to catch him at his desk, which seems fitting.)

The mounted mirelurk queen claw is of course a trophy of the battle we fought taking this place back for the Minutemen.
