All parts of the bluebell plant contain glycosides that are toxic to humans and animals. Most animals are put off by the plants, but accidental ingestion is still possible. This can cause serious stomach upset. If a large quantity is eaten, it can be fatal.

When you walk around now there are flowers everywhere. Even the air feels wonderful.

The Venn diagram of “spring in eastern Pennsylvania “ and “my idea of paradise” is nearly just a circle. Just a little on one side for how damaged nature is here now, and on the paradise side, room for standing stones and extra nature-y goodness.
