Dragon’s in warefare

I know RTTE and basically the whole Httyd series doesn’t really go into it too much cause of the target audience, but I am genuinely so interested in the idea of the Httyd getting an another show with an older target audience because of the idea of adding a lot of the abilities we’ve seen from dragons in the shows into more thought out scenarios.

I mean the Change wing is a great example of a dragon that if trained could be horrifying against the dragon hunters. A light footed dragon that can mirror its environment and shoot acid. Can you imagine what it’s like hunting that? Especially since it’s in packs.

or like with the skill or flightmare, dragons with immense elemental abilities that can harness abilities most humans especially of this era can’t even comprehend. Dragons that not even the dragon riders can tame. The only thing stopping them from reaking havoc being a lack of desire to or their territory being isolated.

but I mean even dragons that aren’t especially powerful are still quite horrifying on the battlefield. Can you imagine just being plucked off the ground into the air and just dropped back down? I mean how do you even defend against something like that?
