I know a lot of people think that Alder will die in the next episode, but i really hope thats not true! So far, we've only seen her in her office, manipulating people, ordering soldiers around, being her usual sneaky self because being general controls what she can and cannot do. But if she's completly retired from the army, with no hope for a long term future, then whats stopping her from going rogue and destroying the camarilla herself? We havent seen her at full power, except in flashbacks. I really want to see what she can do when she's not held back by her responsabilities.

Mycelium/Alder Theory

My theory on 2x10, hidden for *spoilers*

Alright so my brain will not stop from this episode. I have developed a theory on this and just need to let it out so I can go about my real life day LOL

I think Alder is going to die/sacrifice herself and be absorbed by the Mycelium. Reason: (1) it is definitely her that Anacostia is holding (no denying those cheekbones) and (2) the trailer portion in front of the Mycelium. When the Unit/Mamacostia are in front of the Mycelium Anacostia is looking at something/someone on the table behind them, but when they are all looking at the Mycelium it is just a white sheet behind them... what if it was Alder's body.

Lyne's word for this season was transcendence- existence or experience beyond the normal or physical level. What is more beyond the normal level than the glory mushroom made from her pain?

What if when the Mycelium absorbs Alder all of the witches who have died are like "we see you, we love you, we honor your sacrifice" and save her. Based on what Willa showed Raelle- these witches know her sacrifice, her pain. It is clear from the way Willa talked about her, these witches respect and honor Alder.

I mean, that mushroom is protective. Throughout the flashback they referred to her as Mother- why wouldn't they save her like they do Raelle. Yes, Alder didn't ET touch the Mycelium, BUT IT WAS MADE FROM HER MAGIC. You cannot tell me she does not have a connection to it.

Basically- witchbomb two nukes Fort Salem and the remaining plague, but from the ashes emerges Alder due to the sacrifices of her lost daughters that know she only ever lived to try and save them.

TLDR: I think Alder is going to kinda die but the Mycelium witches are going to save her because their ancestors here on this earth be shady traitorous bitches.
