That picture of Elliot Page looking up at Lavern Cox at the GLAAD awards is so much better now
Two trans icons
what do the 4 people who always like my posts want for christmas
Headlines that prove you can write an article about someone coming out without deadnaming them! Itās not hard!
Congrats, Elliot, we love you!
most men are just some guy
certified iconic post
also in trans news that should be talked about. laverne cox has stated that on saturday her and a friend were assulted in a park and itās not really getting the same attention as elliot. we can still be proud of him without ingnoring what happened to laverne and her friend.
if you claim ally ship to the trans community then you canāt ignore the bad things that happen to especially trans woc. and if youāre a white trans person you canāt just talk about other white trans people. it just shows that you only care about trans people if they are white and that shouldnāt be the case.
if your gonna talk about elliot please also talk about laverne. she deserves better and we should all do better to raise up the voices of black trans women.
'When these things happen, it's not your fault,' actress Laverne Cox said after she and a friend were attacked while hiking through Griffith
āThis has happened to me before,ā she said. āIāve been trans my whole life. Iāve been harassed and bullied my whole life. None of this is new, but itās still just kind of like, āWho cares?ā and then āWhy do you need to be aggressive?āā
At first, Cox said she debated sharing her story on social media and wondered what she ācould have done differently,ā before realizing āitās not my fault that this happened.ā She also thanked her friend, who immediately recognized that Cox was the ātargetā of the attack and deescalated the situation.
And hereās the Instagram live she posted talking about the incident
As well as a follow up live she posted talking about it a bit more, thanking people for their support, and talking about some experiences sheās had as a Black trans woman in general

[ID: A photograph of Elliot Page over the following text:
Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life.
I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I canāt begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self. Iāve been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, your generosity and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place. I will offer whatever support I can and continue to strive for a more loving and equal society.
I also ask for patience. My joy is real, but it is also fragile. The truth is, despite feeling profoundly happy right now and knowing how much privilege I carry, I am also scared. Iām scared of the invasiveness, the hate, the ājokesā and of violence. To be clear, I am not trying to dampen a moment that is joyous and one that I celebrate, but I want to address the full picture. The statistics are staggering. The discrimination towards trans people is rife, insidious and cruel, resulting in horrific consequences. In 2020 alone it has been reported that at least 40 transgender people have been murdered, the majority of which were Black and Latinx trans women. To the political leaders who work to criminalize trans health care and deny our right to exist and to all of those with a massive platform who continue to spew hostility towards the trans community: you have blood on your hands. You unleash a fury of vile and demeaning rage that lands on the shoulders of the trans community, a community in which 40% of trans adults report attempting suicide. Enough is enough. You arenāt being ācancelled,ā you are hurting people. I am one of those people and we wonāt be silent in the face of your attacks.
I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive. To all trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better.
Thank you for reading this.
All my love, Elliot

Sex Trafficking in Atlanta relies heavy in the real estate arena. They post these banging ass condos and lofts for like $350 a month (especially for āfemaleā students) and give you just a phone number to set up a ātourā. Be safe y'all.
This is still going on! Be careful and aware when shit donāt add up.
Iāll reblog this everyday if it can save somebody
This depends STATE BY STATE (or town by town), so check out your own state's rules. As for everywhere, only poll workers are banned from this, and people holding up signs for candidates have to be a certain distance from the building.
