I get you, i get you. I mostly travel via portal, it's a basic commute for me by now rather then the actually very powerful magic that it is.

Where exactly is your Observatory compared to the general well... planet earth? This question might sound very silly but pinpointing or at least estimating the location of magically protected structures within known Parameters and areas can be pretty tricky when your goal is to NOT smash something into it with WAY to much speed. At least when your Time frame is NOW instead of in a few hours.

Oh, it’s sort of on Earth. It’s a whole superposition bit. If you check magically, this is officially space, at least according to reality.

I could either drop us somewhere in the asteroid belt, somewhere right outside of the solar system, somewhere on Wizard Island Island, or right beside WR 102. You’ll have to step outside of the little magical radius around the Observatory while thinking about which spot you wish to go… or you could directly ask the Observatory nicely.

... ... ... Well now it makes sense that this place is tricky to find even for a spartial master like me, i mean i know how to spot if now so i can get here but that was kind of a hassle at the beginning. I Really should have thought about that...

Sooo, asteroid belt. Approximately where? Middle of it? Outer Rim? Where in the mass of it? It would be WAY easier to conceal the ship from view from... well earth there as Regular humans should Progress at regular Human speed and not... suddenly notice something in their home system or just beyond it that is not supposed to be there. We don't want another Alien craze like there was in the Past...

Close to Jupiter. Like, every time I’ve exited into the asteroid belt, it appears close to Jupiter. When I say close, I mean it in an astronomical sense.

Honestly, if you care at all, you appear pretty close to Callisto. I actually have a small… err… “space station” orbiting it.

The Observatory? Can’t give you an exact spot. I don’t feel like doing the math. The space station? Same distance from Callisto as a low earth orbit.

*I begin once again to tap around on my Arm. After a While i look a bit confused until i seemingly remember something. A Portal Opens through it flies a Ship roughly 500m in length 100m in height and 300, in width.*

Sorry, forgot a tiny detail of the main body being located.... FAR away a straight up Traversal without a portal would have taken a month or two. So this was easier and most importantly faster. Anyways, meet the Terror. It's a bit of a Crude name but this is a Raiding Carrier after all so it kind of fits.

Long Story... Don't ask! I'm Not gonna go into it right now.

*After a quick little tapping action on my console the front of the Carrier seemingly opens and out comes a Ship that looks Bulkier then the one you saw the Depiction off. It kind off seems like a Box truck at the end merged with the front section of a Jet hung from blow. The Most notable thing however is that the front of the vessel looks like a large conical Drill*

I called over the ONE carrier that recently lost it's shuttle... So we're gonna have to use a Boarding ship to... well board the carrier. I could also just Portal us on board but this is about not just solving everything with magic eh?

Oh, most definitely! I enjoy seeing how far people have gone without using magic. Just tricking rocks into thinking with lightning is wonderful, so this is amazing!

*I begin aggressively rubbing my hands together.*

Well then, entry ramp is behind the Cockpit, this will only be a short flight to the carrier but it'll be a first taste at least.

*A Slightly stained and charred Entry ramp extends on the backside of the small ship. The inside consists of the Cockpit just ahead and a Ladder extending upwards. Up the ladder one can see the large main room which seems to be lined with seats. The light for the upper rooms seems to be flickering from time to time*

I hope you can excuse the state the ship is in it had not gotten a chance to get everything repaired after the last, fairly hectic, deployment. For now we'll take seat in the cockpit unless you want to take a look around first.

Ok now we're ready to go. While i don't expect all that much turbulence from a roughly 100m flight better be safe then smeared against the inside of the cockpit.

*After that i sit down in a seat a bit further up front, buckle myself in and start pressing buttons on a console in front of me. After a short bit you hear muffled swearing before the engines in the back become a bit louder... and start to rattle. Shortly after you see us gaining height from the surface of your station while looking out the Window.*

Right! A shitbox! It was a rusty car, but we ended up plowing into a semi and made it out coughrelativelycough unscathed! It broke down half an hour later and I just walked after that, though.

No need to *I Swear under my breath, as the left engine stutters and the vessel leans that way before catching itself* ...apologize... I could tell you a Lot of stories of things gone awry, plans working better then expected and WAY to close calls...

Also, in Fact i should apologize for grabbing a ship that was under Repair currently. The Small craft wing should be in better shape then the Boarding ships but we'll see... You see the Carrier saw... a little more action then anticipated recently and needed Repairs afterwards... In my Absence Tactics didn't really change and well the targets and locations became Predictable... An ambush was only a question of time but i digress... We'll enter the hangar soon, then you'll see the more nimble and impressive ships! ...that is as long as the engines keep running for 5 more minutes *A Stutter goes through the vessel as if both engines start struggling* i should have kept my mouth shut...

I can survive in the vacuum of space, but can you? I have to express some concern, considering the fact that you’ve given me such a privilege.

Just like this? Not really, I'd pop like an Egg in a Microwave. BUUUT, i CAN make it so i survive, quite easily too... Even just with the technical means i have available, i have vast access to 0 G Vacuum suits, and then there of course is the Magic means as well. But generally I'd rather not have it come to that so i mostly Portal away before the Atmosphere decompresses.

And don't worry, the Structural integrity of this vessel is at around 70% for the Boarding section and 95% for the Control section we are in right now, so this is Perfectly save, I've flown worse.

The Worst fighter I've piloted literally lost a Wing on acceleration! That Sucker took off half the Cockpit wall!

*We seem to be only gliding along by now, floating gently towards the front of the carrier. On closer inspection you cannot seem to hear the engines Rumbling anymore.*

*Just as i say that a jolt goes through the vessel and it begins to move towards the Hangar more slowly and controlled*

That was a Docking drone taking over, very anarchic but we've lost power before i started speaking last. This boarding ship was in worse shape technically then i might have expected. So now the Drone will move us in, Put us down and then we can disembark.

Sorry that well your first experience here is a bit of a, well... dumpster-fire, i should have pulled one of the Active Raiders here instead of the "In Dock" positioned one i did not expect it to have a partially dysfunctional space-wing. Could i have checked that remotely... Yes. Did i? No... And for that i must apologize.

*After that another small impact is felt, this time from below*

*I fiddle with my harness for a few moments before taking it off. I then quickly get up and speed walk off the vessel. I immediately start looking around the hangar.*

Such a large area to be supporting…

Is there any magic used for the processes in the large ship that we’re in? This is all very fascinating, I had issues creating large satellites unless they were made out of chunks of stars.

*The Hangar is... Messy. One the sides you can see launch tubes for the smaller ships or drones, the large hangar gate we came into is in front of our Boarding ship. At the back you can spot Automated Cranes with some form of Tool attachments moving about three bays in which small craft of different states of disrepair can be seen. You can also see the the outer two are in a vastly worse condition to the one in the middle and that the Middle one seems to be getting parts installed that have just been taken out the other two. In general The Ships that are lining the sides Infront of the launch tubes look rough some have scorch marks and seemingly warped frames others have the remnants of their Broken off weapons sticking from their fuselage while yet others have holes shot clean through them. There are however some that, besides some cosmetic damage in the form of light burns seem to be in good condition. All in all it seems like there are a total of maybe 60-70 ships in this hangar and maybe 10% of that in functional order* Nope no magic used in the Standard vessels and no i have not a clue how it works. I am a commander, a pilot, a leader and quite a lot of things honestly... But one thing i am not is an Engineer. I know the basics to bypass systems and get things running in an emergency but that's it basically.

Also, define Satellite. Like Technical satellite? If you tell me more we can maybe later talk about building one for you.

Ahhh… a technical satellite would be nice. All of the ones I’ve made have been mostly utilized as waypoints and small living spaces.

*I glance upwards.*

Though, I did “commandeer” some stuff off of an old satellite in Earth’s orbit and implemented it in one of my satellites. I figured out a nice way to cleanly transform received radio signals into raw information that could then be beamed to my head. I don’t usually use it, though. It gets noisy. I also can’t send anything, which sucks.

That latter part can all be arranged in a Micro satellite although the "beaming into head" portion might be... not as purely technologically viable unless you have a send/receive implant of some sort. Oh the Waypoint portion as well, that can also easily be built in.

The Living space thing is really more space station territory, meaning more needed space, independent energy source, air lock, compartmentalization, multi layered hull and of course a light shield to block smaller asteroids. And maybe RCS thrusters to reposition, hydroponics for food, artificial gravity, a docking port, point defense systems... All the satellite based systems are all possible as well of course. If we were to go one class higher, even a shuttle hangar might be on the table...

Oh yes, i will I won't risk one of the shitboxes with holes, or the ones that are twisted... or burned... or broken in two... that one has a hole where it's reactor should be... how did it even get in here again?! that one is missing a seat... and the floor around the seat... Obviously a one-seater generally is off the table since i doubt you can fly anything here, so the smaller interceptors are out...

That Bomber over there looks good enough. has a bent gun barrel and... yeah half of the Bomb launcher is missing but i don't plan on shooting anything so that's not an issue. Otherwise... yeah that's only scarring, that's only shallow angle armor penetration... engines are present Reactor is... Reacting...

*I walk over to it and grin, squatting to get a closer look at the underside of the ship.*

How fast does she go?

*The underside is covered in a plate similar to the ones on the rest of the vessel, it follows the contours of the ship and at points bulges out a little where space for something or another was seemingly needed. Five feet of landing gear extend from the lower hull plating downwards on which the ship rests.* This one? I think around 10000km/h or 3km/s cruising speed at least in the current state. Technically and mechanically she's fine but i want to cut it some slack. No need to push it to 100% at the moment. At norm this model should be able to push 6km/s in space before becoming hazardous. Of course in Atmosphere the speeds are WAY slower, we don't want to turn into a fireball after all, and combat speeds are a lot lower as well. It also has a small jump drive meaning it can reach other systems independently and jump around the current one.

The Reactor is running at around 90%, engines are at around 85, but the internals are all intact as far as the diagnostics are telling me. Seemingly got hit by an explosion and shrapnel but got away unscathed otherwise. Probably needed to retreat due to the unusable weaponry before getting as close as the rest.

Could we go for a quick trip through the bits of the asteroid belt around us and perhaps a trip around one of Jupiter’s moons? I’d just like to see how it feels.

Gives me the chance to zip around the Rocks a bit, fly a few maneuvers and afterwards fly above the rock level to fly to a moon.

*I quickly enter the ship via whatever method is apparent and look around, mainly for a spot to sit or something that would indicate such.*

*I quickly unlock the door on the side just infront of the wing line structure when i notice that you are about to head first run into it. Once inside you can see a narrow path with a four way cross road besides your entry way one way is going ahead to a tiny room it seems, another going to the rear of the vessel, you think you can make out a door a bit further down although that might just be a wall and the final way goes to the Front where you can see a fairly large cockpit with several seats. You take a seat thre and can hear the Reactor coming to life with the consoles around the cockpit flashing on and displaying various metrics... and of course some warnings. I enter shortly after you, go towards the front and begin tapping around on the console in front of me. You hear the door behind us sealing and the engine noises becoming louder.*

Oh, please buckle down this is going to be a bit... harsher then the Boarding craft

I expect so. We can crash for all I care, just please don’t make this boring… or… whatever. If there’s a space speed limit, I don’t expect you to follow it.

Who would enforce them?! Especially here, where i currently own the Largest functional Warship! They can try!

Also, if it is Excitement you are after mainly... Maybe in the future we can talk about you accompanying a Raid, but in that case i'd expect you to Pull your Weight at best with minimal to no, and if only subtle magic use....

But for now lets Launch. *Mumbling* I think tube three should be operational...

*You can see the Hangar interior flashing Red as air Rushes into Vents along the Upper corner of the Hangar. The Vessel we are in slowly lifts off and takes position in front one of the Horizontal Tubes that line the Hangar sides. After a while the Flashing stops and is Replaced with a Green blink and a Siren blaring once. In front of us you can see down a Guiding barrel still illuminated by a Red glow. We begin moving forwards and you can hear a large door moving shut behind us while another starts opening into space at the Front. As soon as the front gate has opened the Light starts glowing Green and we SHOOT forwards so fast that you are pressed into your seat, After we left the launch tube you notice that the Asteroid field is rapidly getting closer...*

*Most of this is accompanied by my extremely ecstatic yelling before it’s clear we’re approaching the Asteroid belt.*

Uhh… you do know that’s a denser area, right—

*I cut myself off with a sigh.*

Nevermind, you’re the pilot here. You know what you’re doing…

WELL the shield can take at least one Impact if it comes to it and despite being pretty bulky this craft is pretty nimble!

*I say as you hear a thunk and i pull hard to the Left, practically spinning us 180° around, the momentum carrying us closer to the Dense asteroid cloud until we practically come to a dead stop as you are once again strongly pressed into the Seat when i engage the Engines in, what equates to, Full Reverse thrust. After we stopped i spin the vessel around once again and you can see that the previously dense asteroid cloud has been dispersed in all manner of directions by the engine exhaust cone and some start careening out of the Asteroid-belt all together.*

Well lets hope these don't hit earth or something else important...

RCS - Reaction Control System.

She doesn't purely use the Main engine for turning especially on maneuvers such as we just did. There are smaller thrusters placed all around the Fuselage, so if i cut the power to the main engine, then engage the RCS on opposite corners of the Ship she'll start spinning wildly until i counter act the spin with the opposite RCS. The momentum will of course keep us going in the direction we were already going but i can still do Ballet in space!

Where exactly is your Observatory compared to the general well... planet earth? This question might sound very silly but pinpointing or at least estimating the location of magically protected structures within known Parameters and areas can be pretty tricky when your goal is to NOT smash something into it with WAY to much speed. At least when your Time frame is NOW instead of in a few hours.

Oh, it’s sort of on Earth. It’s a whole superposition bit. If you check magically, this is officially space, at least according to reality.

I could either drop us somewhere in the asteroid belt, somewhere right outside of the solar system, somewhere on Wizard Island Island, or right beside WR 102. You’ll have to step outside of the little magical radius around the Observatory while thinking about which spot you wish to go… or you could directly ask the Observatory nicely.

Sorry, forgot a tiny detail of the main body being located.... FAR away a straight up Traversal without a portal would have taken a month or two. So this was easier and most importantly faster. Anyways, meet the Terror. It's a bit of a Crude name but this is a Raiding Carrier after all so it kind of fits.

*After a quick little tapping action on my console the front of the Carrier seemingly opens and out comes a Ship that looks Bulkier then the one you saw the Depiction off. It kind off seems like a Box truck at the end merged with the front section of a Jet hung from blow. The Most notable thing however is that the front of the vessel looks like a large conical Drill*

I called over the ONE carrier that recently lost it's shuttle... So we're gonna have to use a Boarding ship to... well board the carrier. I could also just Portal us on board but this is about not just solving everything with magic eh?

Well then, entry ramp is behind the Cockpit, this will only be a short flight to the carrier but it'll be a first taste at least.

*A Slightly stained and charred Entry ramp extends on the backside of the small ship. The inside consists of the Cockpit just ahead and a Ladder extending upwards. Up the ladder one can see the large main room which seems to be lined with seats. The light for the upper rooms seems to be flickering from time to time*

I hope you can excuse the state the ship is in it had not gotten a chance to get everything repaired after the last, fairly hectic, deployment. For now we'll take seat in the cockpit unless you want to take a look around first.

After a short bit you hear muffled swearing before the engines in the back become a bit louder... and start to rattle. Shortly after you see us gaining height from the surface of your station while looking out the Window.*

Also, in Fact i should apologize for grabbing a ship that was under Repair currently. The Small craft wing should be in better shape then the Boarding ships but we'll see... You see the Carrier saw... a little more action then anticipated recently and needed Repairs afterwards... In my Absence Tactics didn't really change and well the targets and locations became Predictable... An ambush was only a question of time but i digress... We'll enter the hangar soon, then you'll see the more nimble and impressive ships! ...that is as long as the engines keep running for 5 more minutes *A Stutter goes through the vessel as if both engines start struggling* i should have kept my mouth shut...

Just like this? Not really, I'd pop like an Egg in a Microwave. BUUUT, i CAN make it so i survive, quite easily too... Even just with the technical means i have available, i have vast access to 0 G Vacuum suits, and then there of course is the Magic means as well. But generally I'd rather not have it come to that so i mostly Portal away before the Atmosphere decompresses.

And don't worry, the Structural integrity of this vessel is at around 70% for the Boarding section and 95% for the Control section we are in right now, so this is Perfectly save, I've flown worse.

The Worst fighter I've piloted literally lost a Wing on acceleration! That Sucker took off half the Cockpit wall!

*We seem to be only gliding along by now, floating gently towards the front of the carrier. On closer inspection you cannot seem to hear the engines Rumbling anymore.*

That was a Docking drone taking over, very anarchic but we've lost power before i started speaking last. This boarding ship was in worse shape technically then i might have expected. So now the Drone will move us in, Put us down and then we can disembark.

Sorry that well your first experience here is a bit of a, well... dumpster-fire, i should have pulled one of the Active Raiders here instead of the "In Dock" positioned one i did not expect it to have a partially dysfunctional space-wing. Could i have checked that remotely... Yes. Did i? No... And for that i must apologize.

Is there any magic used for the processes in the large ship that we’re in? This is all very fascinating, I had issues creating large satellites unless they were made out of chunks of stars.

*The Hangar is... Messy. One the sides you can see launch tubes for the smaller ships or drones, the large hangar gate we came into is in front of our Boarding ship. At the back you can spot Automated Cranes with some form of Tool attachments moving about three bays in which small craft of different states of disrepair can be seen. You can also see the the outer two are in a vastly worse condition to the one in the middle and that the Middle one seems to be getting parts installed that have just been taken out the other two. In general The Ships that are lining the sides Infront of the launch tubes look rough some have scorch marks and seemingly warped frames others have the remnants of their Broken off weapons sticking from their fuselage while yet others have holes shot clean through them. There are however some that, besides some cosmetic damage in the form of light burns seem to be in good condition. All in all it seems like there are a total of maybe 60-70 ships in this hangar and maybe 10% of that in functional order* Nope no magic used in the Standard vessels and no i have not a clue how it works. I am a commander, a pilot, a leader and quite a lot of things honestly... But one thing i am not is an Engineer. I know the basics to bypass systems and get things running in an emergency but that's it basically.

Also, define Satellite. Like Technical satellite? If you tell me more we can maybe later talk about building one for you.

Ahhh… a technical satellite would be nice. All of the ones I’ve made have been mostly utilized as waypoints and small living spaces.

Though, I did “commandeer” some stuff off of an old satellite in Earth’s orbit and implemented it in one of my satellites. I figured out a nice way to cleanly transform received radio signals into raw information that could then be beamed to my head. I don’t usually use it, though. It gets noisy. I also can’t send anything, which sucks.

That latter part can all be arranged in a Micro satellite although the "beaming into head" portion might be... not as purely technologically viable unless you have a send/receive implant of some sort. Oh the Waypoint portion as well, that can also easily be built in.

The Living space thing is really more space station territory, meaning more needed space, independent energy source, air lock, compartmentalization, multi layered hull and of course a light shield to block smaller asteroids. And maybe RCS thrusters to reposition, hydroponics for food, artificial gravity, a docking port, point defense systems... All the satellite based systems are all possible as well of course. If we were to go one class higher, even a shuttle hangar might be on the table...

That Bomber over there looks good enough. has a bent gun barrel and... yeah half of the Bomb launcher is missing but i don't plan on shooting anything so that's not an issue. Otherwise... yeah that's only scarring, that's only shallow angle armor penetration... engines are present Reactor is... Reacting...

How fast does she go?

*The underside is covered in a plate similar to the ones on the rest of the vessel, it follows the contours of the ship and at points bulges out a little where space for something or another was seemingly needed. Five feet of landing gear extend from the lower hull plating downwards on which the ship rests.* This one? I think around 10000km/h or 3km/s cruising speed at least in the current state. Technically and mechanically she's fine but i want to cut it some slack. No need to push it to 100% at the moment. At norm this model should be able to push 6km/s in space before becoming hazardous. Of course in Atmosphere the speeds are WAY slower, we don't want to turn into a fireball after all, and combat speeds are a lot lower as well. It also has a small jump drive meaning it can reach other systems independently and jump around the current one.

The Reactor is running at around 90%, engines are at around 85, but the internals are all intact as far as the diagnostics are telling me. Seemingly got hit by an explosion and shrapnel but got away unscathed otherwise. Probably needed to retreat due to the unusable weaponry before getting as close as the rest.

Once inside you can see a narrow path with a four way cross road besides your entry way one way is going ahead to a tiny room it seems, another going to the rear of the vessel, you think you can make out a door a bit further down although that might just be a wall and the final way goes to the Front where you can see a fairly large cockpit with several seats. You take a seat thre and can hear the Reactor coming to life with the consoles around the cockpit flashing on and displaying various metrics... and of course some warnings. I enter shortly after you, go towards the front and begin tapping around on the console in front of me. You hear the door behind us sealing and the engine noises becoming louder.*

Oh, please buckle down this is going to be a bit... harsher then the Boarding craft

*You can see the Hangar interior flashing Red as air Rushes into Vents along the Upper corner of the Hangar. The Vessel we are in slowly lifts off and takes position in front one of the Horizontal Tubes that line the Hangar sides. After a while the Flashing stops and is Replaced with a Green blink and a Siren blaring once. In front of us you can see down a Guiding barrel still illuminated by a Red glow. We begin moving forwards and you can hear a large door moving shut behind us while another starts opening into space at the Front. As soon as the front gate has opened the Light starts glowing Green and we SHOOT forwards so fast that you are pressed into your seat, After we left the launch tube you notice that the Asteroid field is rapidly getting closer...*

WELL the shield can take at least one Impact if it comes to it and despite being pretty bulky this craft is pretty nimble!

*I say as you hear a thunk and i pull hard to the Left, practically spinning us 180° around, the momentum carrying us closer to the Dense asteroid cloud until we practically come to a dead stop as you are once again strongly pressed into the Seat when i engage the Engines in, what equates to, Full Reverse thrust. After we stopped i spin the vessel around once again and you can see that the previously dense asteroid cloud has been dispersed in all manner of directions by the engine exhaust cone and some start careening out of the Asteroid-belt all together.*

Well lets hope these don't hit earth or something else important...

Sorry, forgot a tiny detail of the main body being located.... FAR away a straight up Traversal without a portal would have taken a month or two. So this was easier and most importantly faster. Anyways, meet the Terror. It's a bit of a Crude name but this is a Raiding Carrier after all so it kind of fits.

It kind off seems like a Box truck at the end merged with the front section of a Jet hung from blow. The Most notable thing however is that the front of the vessel looks like a large conical Drill*

I called over the ONE carrier that recently lost it's shuttle... So we're gonna have to use a Boarding ship to... well board the carrier. I could also just Portal us on board but this is about not just solving everything with magic eh?

*A Slightly stained and charred Entry ramp extends on the backside of the small ship. The inside consists of the Cockpit just ahead and a Ladder extending upwards. Up the ladder one can see the large main room which seems to be lined with seats. The light for the upper rooms seems to be flickering from time to time*

I hope you can excuse the state the ship is in it had not gotten a chance to get everything repaired after the last, fairly hectic, deployment. For now we'll take seat in the cockpit unless you want to take a look around first.

Shortly after you see us gaining height from the surface of your station while looking out the Window.*

You see the Carrier saw... a little more action then anticipated recently and needed Repairs afterwards... In my Absence Tactics didn't really change and well the targets and locations became Predictable... An ambush was only a question of time but i digress... We'll enter the hangar soon, then you'll see the more nimble and impressive ships! ...that is as long as the engines keep running for 5 more minutes *A Stutter goes through the vessel as if both engines start struggling* i should have kept my mouth shut...

Even just with the technical means i have available, i have vast access to 0 G Vacuum suits, and then there of course is the Magic means as well. But generally I'd rather not have it come to that so i mostly Portal away before the Atmosphere decompresses.

And don't worry, the Structural integrity of this vessel is at around 70% for the Boarding section and 95% for the Control section we are in right now, so this is Perfectly save, I've flown worse.

The Worst fighter I've piloted literally lost a Wing on acceleration! That Sucker took off half the Cockpit wall!

That was a Docking drone taking over, very anarchic but we've lost power before i started speaking last. This boarding ship was in worse shape technically then i might have expected. So now the Drone will move us in, Put us down and then we can disembark.

Sorry that well your first experience here is a bit of a, well... dumpster-fire, i should have pulled one of the Active Raiders here instead of the "In Dock" positioned one i did not expect it to have a partially dysfunctional space-wing. Could i have checked that remotely... Yes. Did i? No... And for that i must apologize.

Is there any magic used for the processes in the large ship that we’re in? This is all very fascinating, I had issues creating large satellites unless they were made out of chunks of stars.

*The Hangar is... Messy. One the sides you can see launch tubes for the smaller ships or drones, the large hangar gate we came into is in front of our Boarding ship. At the back you can spot Automated Cranes with some form of Tool attachments moving about three bays in which small craft of different states of disrepair can be seen. You can also see the the outer two are in a vastly worse condition to the one in the middle and that the Middle one seems to be getting parts installed that have just been taken out the other two. In general The Ships that are lining the sides Infront of the launch tubes look rough some have scorch marks and seemingly warped frames others have the remnants of their Broken off weapons sticking from their fuselage while yet others have holes shot clean through them. There are however some that, besides some cosmetic damage in the form of light burns seem to be in good condition. All in all it seems like there are a total of maybe 60-70 ships in this hangar and maybe 10% of that in functional order* Nope no magic used in the Standard vessels and no i have not a clue how it works. I am a commander, a pilot, a leader and quite a lot of things honestly... But one thing i am not is an Engineer. I know the basics to bypass systems and get things running in an emergency but that's it basically.

Also, define Satellite. Like Technical satellite? If you tell me more we can maybe later talk about building one for you.

Ahhh… a technical satellite would be nice. All of the ones I’ve made have been mostly utilized as waypoints and small living spaces.

Though, I did “commandeer” some stuff off of an old satellite in Earth’s orbit and implemented it in one of my satellites. I figured out a nice way to cleanly transform received radio signals into raw information that could then be beamed to my head. I don’t usually use it, though. It gets noisy. I also can’t send anything, which sucks.

That latter part can all be arranged in a Micro satellite although the "beaming into head" portion might be... not as purely technologically viable unless you have a send/receive implant of some sort. Oh the Waypoint portion as well, that can also easily be built in.

The Living space thing is really more space station territory, meaning more needed space, independent energy source, air lock, compartmentalization, multi layered hull and of course a light shield to block smaller asteroids. And maybe RCS thrusters to reposition, hydroponics for food, artificial gravity, a docking port, point defense systems... All the satellite based systems are all possible as well of course. If we were to go one class higher, even a shuttle hangar might be on the table...

Obviously a one-seater generally is off the table since i doubt you can fly anything here, so the smaller interceptors are out...

That Bomber over there looks good enough. has a bent gun barrel and... yeah half of the Bomb launcher is missing but i don't plan on shooting anything so that's not an issue. Otherwise... yeah that's only scarring, that's only shallow angle armor penetration... engines are present Reactor is... Reacting...

How fast does she go?

*The underside is covered in a plate similar to the ones on the rest of the vessel, it follows the contours of the ship and at points bulges out a little where space for something or another was seemingly needed. Five feet of landing gear extend from the lower hull plating downwards on which the ship rests.* This one? I think around 10000km/h or 3km/s cruising speed at least in the current state. Technically and mechanically she's fine but i want to cut it some slack. No need to push it to 100% at the moment. At norm this model should be able to push 6km/s in space before becoming hazardous. Of course in Atmosphere the speeds are WAY slower, we don't want to turn into a fireball after all, and combat speeds are a lot lower as well. It also has a small jump drive meaning it can reach other systems independently and jump around the current one.

The Reactor is running at around 90%, engines are at around 85, but the internals are all intact as far as the diagnostics are telling me. Seemingly got hit by an explosion and shrapnel but got away unscathed otherwise. Probably needed to retreat due to the unusable weaponry before getting as close as the rest.

Once inside you can see a narrow path with a four way cross road besides your entry way one way is going ahead to a tiny room it seems, another going to the rear of the vessel, you think you can make out a door a bit further down although that might just be a wall and the final way goes to the Front where you can see a fairly large cockpit with several seats. You take a seat thre and can hear the Reactor coming to life with the consoles around the cockpit flashing on and displaying various metrics... and of course some warnings. I enter shortly after you, go towards the front and begin tapping around on the console in front of me. You hear the door behind us sealing and the engine noises becoming louder.*

Oh, please buckle down this is going to be a bit... harsher then the Boarding craft

*You can see the Hangar interior flashing Red as air Rushes into Vents along the Upper corner of the Hangar. The Vessel we are in slowly lifts off and takes position in front one of the Horizontal Tubes that line the Hangar sides. After a while the Flashing stops and is Replaced with a Green blink and a Siren blaring once. In front of us you can see down a Guiding barrel still illuminated by a Red glow. We begin moving forwards and you can hear a large door moving shut behind us while another starts opening into space at the Front. As soon as the front gate has opened the Light starts glowing Green and we SHOOT forwards so fast that you are pressed into your seat, After we left the launch tube you notice that the Asteroid field is rapidly getting closer...*

This question might sound very silly but pinpointing or at least estimating the location of magically protected structures within known Parameters and areas can be pretty tricky when your goal is to NOT smash something into it with WAY to much speed. And don't worry, the Structural integrity of this vessel is at around 70% for the Boarding section and 95% for the Control section we are in right now, so this is Perfectly save, I've flown worse.

That was a Docking drone taking over, very anarchic but we've lost power before i started speaking last. This boarding ship was in worse shape technically then i might have expected. So now the Drone will move us in, Put us down and then we can disembark.

Is there any magic used for the processes in the large ship that we’re in? This is all very fascinating, I had issues creating large satellites unless they were made out of chunks of stars.

*The Hangar is... Messy. One the sides you can see launch tubes for the smaller ships or drones, the large hangar gate we came into is in front of our Boarding ship. At the back you can spot Automated Cranes with some form of Tool attachments moving about three bays in which small craft of different states of disrepair can be seen. You can also see the the outer two are in a vastly worse condition to the one in the middle and that the Middle one seems to be getting parts installed that have just been taken out the other two. In general The Ships that are lining the sides Infront of the launch tubes look rough some have scorch marks and seemingly warped frames others have the remnants of their Broken off weapons sticking from their fuselage while yet others have holes shot clean through them. There are however some that, besides some cosmetic damage in the form of light burns seem to be in good condition. All in all it seems like there are a total of maybe 60-70 ships in this hangar and maybe 10% of that in functional order* Nope no magic used in the Standard vessels and no i have not a clue how it works. I am a commander, a pilot, a leader and quite a lot of things honestly... But one thing i am not is an Engineer. I know the basics to bypass systems and get things running in an emergency but that's it basically.

Also, define Satellite. Like Technical satellite? If you tell me more we can maybe later talk about building one for you.

Ahhh… a technical satellite would be nice. All of the ones I’ve made have been mostly utilized as waypoints and small living spaces.

Though, I did “commandeer” some stuff off of an old satellite in Earth’s orbit and implemented it in one of my satellites. I figured out a nice way to cleanly transform received radio signals into raw information that could then be beamed to my head. I don’t usually use it, though. It gets noisy. I also can’t send anything, which sucks.

That latter part can all be arranged in a Micro satellite although the "beaming into head" portion might be... not as purely technologically viable unless you have a send/receive implant of some sort. Oh the Waypoint portion as well, that can also easily be built in.

The Living space thing is really more space station territory, meaning more needed space, independent energy source, air lock, compartmentalization, multi layered hull and of course a light shield to block smaller asteroids. And maybe RCS thrusters to reposition, hydroponics for food, artificial gravity, a docking port, point defense systems... All the satellite based systems are all possible as well of course. If we were to go one class higher, even a shuttle hangar might be on the table...

How fast does she go?

*The underside is covered in a plate similar to the ones on the rest of the vessel, it follows the contours of the ship and at points bulges out a little where space for something or another was seemingly needed. Five feet of landing gear extend from the lower hull plating downwards on which the ship rests.* This one? I think around 10000km/h or 3km/s cruising speed at least in the current state. Technically and mechanically she's fine but i want to cut it some slack. No need to push it to 100% at the moment. At norm this model should be able to push 6km/s in space before becoming hazardous. Of course in Atmosphere the speeds are WAY slower, we don't want to turn into a fireball after all, and combat speeds are a lot lower as well. It also has a small jump drive meaning it can reach other systems independently and jump around the current one.

The Reactor is running at around 90%, engines are at around 85, but the internals are all intact as far as the diagnostics are telling me. Seemingly got hit by an explosion and shrapnel but got away unscathed otherwise. Probably needed to retreat due to the unusable weaponry before getting as close as the rest.

You take a seat thre and can hear the Reactor coming to life with the consoles around the cockpit flashing on and displaying various metrics... and of course some warnings. I enter shortly after you, go towards the front and begin tapping around on the console in front of me. You hear the door behind us sealing and the engine noises becoming louder.*

Ahhh… a technical satellite would be nice. All of the ones I’ve made have been mostly utilized as waypoints and small living spaces.

Though, I did “commandeer” some stuff off of an old satellite in Earth’s orbit and implemented it in one of my satellites. I figured out a nice way to cleanly transform received radio signals into raw information that could then be beamed to my head. I don’t usually use it, though. It gets noisy. I also can’t send anything, which sucks.

That latter part can all be arranged in a Micro satellite although the "beaming into head" portion might be... not as purely technologically viable unless you have a send/receive implant of some sort. Oh the Waypoint portion as well, that can also easily be built in.

The Living space thing is really more space station territory, meaning more needed space, independent energy source, air lock, compartmentalization, multi layered hull and of course a light shield to block smaller asteroids. And maybe RCS thrusters to reposition, hydroponics for food, artificial gravity, a docking port, point defense systems... All the satellite based systems are all possible as well of course. If we were to go one class higher, even a shuttle hangar might be on the table...

Obviously a one-seater generally is off the table since i doubt you can fly anything here, so the smaller interceptors are out...

That Bomber over there looks good enough. has a bent gun barrel and... yeah half of the Bomb launcher is missing but i don't plan on shooting anything so that's not an issue. Otherwise... yeah that's only scarring, that's only shallow angle armor penetration... engines are present Reactor is... Reacting...

How fast does she go?

*The underside is covered in a plate similar to the ones on the rest of the vessel, it follows the contours of the ship and at points bulges out a little where space for something or another was seemingly needed. Five feet of landing gear extend from the lower hull plating downwards on which the ship rests.* This one? I think around 10000km/h or 3km/s cruising speed at least in the current state. Technically and mechanically she's fine but i want to cut it some slack. No need to push it to 100% at the moment. At norm this model should be able to push 6km/s in space before becoming hazardous. Of course in Atmosphere the speeds are WAY slower, we don't want to turn into a fireball after all, and combat speeds are a lot lower as well. It also has a small jump drive meaning it can reach other systems independently and jump around the current one.

The Reactor is running at around 90%, engines are at around 85, but the internals are all intact as far as the diagnostics are telling me. Seemingly got hit by an explosion and shrapnel but got away unscathed otherwise. Probably needed to retreat due to the unusable weaponry before getting as close as the rest.

This question might sound very silly but pinpointing or at least estimating the location of magically protected structures within known Parameters and areas can be pretty tricky when your goal is to NOT smash something into it with WAY to much speed. At least when your Time frame is NOW instead of in a few hours.

I could either drop us somewhere in the asteroid belt, somewhere right outside of the solar system, somewhere on Wizard Island Island, or right beside WR 102. You’ll have to step outside of the little magical radius around the Observatory while thinking about which spot you wish to go… or you could directly ask the Observatory nicely.

Sorry, forgot a tiny detail of the main body being located.... FAR away a straight up Traversal without a portal would have taken a month or two. So this was easier and most importantly faster. Anyways, meet the Terror. It's a bit of a Crude name but this is a Raiding Carrier after all so it kind of fits.

It kind off seems like a Box truck at the end merged with the front section of a Jet hung from blow. The Most notable thing however is that the front of the vessel looks like a large conical Drill*

I called over the ONE carrier that recently lost it's shuttle... So we're gonna have to use a Boarding ship to... well board the carrier. I could also just Portal us on board but this is about not just solving everything with magic eh?

Up the ladder one can see the large main room which seems to be lined with seats. The light for the upper rooms seems to be flickering from time to time*

I hope you can excuse the state the ship is in it had not gotten a chance to get everything repaired after the last, fairly hectic, deployment. For now we'll take seat in the cockpit unless you want to take a look around first.

Shortly after you see us gaining height from the surface of your station while looking out the Window.*

Also, in Fact i should apologize for grabbing a ship that was under Repair currently. The Small craft wing should be in better shape then the Boarding ships but we'll see... You see the Carrier saw... a little more action then anticipated recently and needed Repairs afterwards... In my Absence Tactics didn't really change and well the targets and locations became Predictable... An ambush was only a question of time but i digress... We'll enter the hangar soon, then you'll see the more nimble and impressive ships! ...that is as long as the engines keep running for 5 more minutes *A Stutter goes through the vessel as if both engines start struggling* i should have kept my mouth shut...

Even just with the technical means i have available, i have vast access to 0 G Vacuum suits, and then there of course is the Magic means as well. But generally I'd rather not have it come to that so i mostly Portal away before the Atmosphere decompresses.

And don't worry, the Structural integrity of this vessel is at around 70% for the Boarding section and 95% for the Control section we are in right now, so this is Perfectly save, I've flown worse.

The Worst fighter I've piloted literally lost a Wing on acceleration! That Sucker took off half the Cockpit wall!

That was a Docking drone taking over, very anarchic but we've lost power before i started speaking last. This boarding ship was in worse shape technically then i might have expected. So now the Drone will move us in, Put us down and then we can disembark.

Sorry that well your first experience here is a bit of a, well... dumpster-fire, i should have pulled one of the Active Raiders here instead of the "In Dock" positioned one i did not expect it to have a partially dysfunctional space-wing. Could i have checked that remotely... Yes. Did i? No... And for that i must apologize.

Is there any magic used for the processes in the large ship that we’re in? This is all very fascinating, I had issues creating large satellites unless they were made out of chunks of stars.

*The Hangar is... Messy. One the sides you can see launch tubes for the smaller ships or drones, the large hangar gate we came into is in front of our Boarding ship. At the back you can spot Automated Cranes with some form of Tool attachments moving about three bays in which small craft of different states of disrepair can be seen. You can also see the the outer two are in a vastly worse condition to the one in the middle and that the Middle one seems to be getting parts installed that have just been taken out the other two. In general The Ships that are lining the sides Infront of the launch tubes look rough some have scorch marks and seemingly warped frames others have the remnants of their Broken off weapons sticking from their fuselage while yet others have holes shot clean through them. There are however some that, besides some cosmetic damage in the form of light burns seem to be in good condition. All in all it seems like there are a total of maybe 60-70 ships in this hangar and maybe 10% of that in functional order* Nope no magic used in the Standard vessels and no i have not a clue how it works. I am a commander, a pilot, a leader and quite a lot of things honestly... But one thing i am not is an Engineer. I know the basics to bypass systems and get things running in an emergency but that's it basically.

Also, define Satellite. Like Technical satellite? If you tell me more we can maybe later talk about building one for you.

It kind off seems like a Box truck at the end merged with the front section of a Jet hung from blow. The Most notable thing however is that the front of the vessel looks like a large conical Drill*

I called over the ONE carrier that recently lost it's shuttle... So we're gonna have to use a Boarding ship to... well board the carrier. I could also just Portal us on board but this is about not just solving everything with magic eh?

Up the ladder one can see the large main room which seems to be lined with seats. The light for the upper rooms seems to be flickering from time to time*

I hope you can excuse the state the ship is in it had not gotten a chance to get everything repaired after the last, fairly hectic, deployment. For now we'll take seat in the cockpit unless you want to take a look around first.

In my Absence Tactics didn't really change and well the targets and locations became Predictable... An ambush was only a question of time but i digress... And don't worry, the Structural integrity of this vessel is at around 70% for the Boarding section and 95% for the Control section we are in right now, so this is Perfectly save, I've flown worse.

That was a Docking drone taking over, very anarchic but we've lost power before i started speaking last. This boarding ship was in worse shape technically then i might have expected. So now the Drone will move us in, Put us down and then we can disembark.

Sorry that well your first experience here is a bit of a, well... dumpster-fire, i should have pulled one of the Active Raiders here instead of the "In Dock" positioned one i did not expect it to have a partially dysfunctional space-wing. Could i have checked that remotely... Yes. Did i? No... And for that i must apologize.

Is there any magic used for the processes in the large ship that we’re in? This is all very fascinating, I had issues creating large satellites unless they were made out of chunks of stars.

*The Hangar is... Messy. One the sides you can see launch tubes for the smaller ships or drones, the large hangar gate we came into is in front of our Boarding ship. At the back you can spot Automated Cranes with some form of Tool attachments moving about three bays in which small craft of different states of disrepair can be seen. You can also see the the outer two are in a vastly worse condition to the one in the middle and that the Middle one seems to be getting parts installed that have just been taken out the other two. In general The Ships that are lining the sides Infront of the launch tubes look rough some have scorch marks and seemingly warped frames others have the remnants of their Broken off weapons sticking from their fuselage while yet others have holes shot clean through them. There are however some that, besides some cosmetic damage in the form of light burns seem to be in good condition. All in all it seems like there are a total of maybe 60-70 ships in this hangar and maybe 10% of that in functional order* Nope no magic used in the Standard vessels and no i have not a clue how it works. I am a commander, a pilot, a leader and quite a lot of things honestly... But one thing i am not is an Engineer. I know the basics to bypass systems and get things running in an emergency but that's it basically.

Also, define Satellite. Like Technical satellite? If you tell me more we can maybe later talk about building one for you.

Ahhh… a technical satellite would be nice. All of the ones I’ve made have been mostly utilized as waypoints and small living spaces.

Though, I did “commandeer” some stuff off of an old satellite in Earth’s orbit and implemented it in one of my satellites. I figured out a nice way to cleanly transform received radio signals into raw information that could then be beamed to my head. I don’t usually use it, though. It gets noisy. I also can’t send anything, which sucks.

That latter part can all be arranged in a Micro satellite although the "beaming into head" portion might be... not as purely technologically viable unless you have a send/receive implant of some sort. Oh the Waypoint portion as well, that can also easily be built in.

The Living space thing is really more space station territory, meaning more needed space, independent energy source, air lock, compartmentalization, multi layered hull and of course a light shield to block smaller asteroids. And maybe RCS thrusters to reposition, hydroponics for food, artificial gravity, a docking port, point defense systems... All the satellite based systems are all possible as well of course. If we were to go one class higher, even a shuttle hangar might be on the table...

Is there any magic used for the processes in the large ship that we’re in? This is all very fascinating, I had issues creating large satellites unless they were made out of chunks of stars.

*The Hangar is... Messy. One the sides you can see launch tubes for the smaller ships or drones, the large hangar gate we came into is in front of our Boarding ship. At the back you can spot Automated Cranes with some form of Tool attachments moving about three bays in which small craft of different states of disrepair can be seen. You can also see the the outer two are in a vastly worse condition to the one in the middle and that the Middle one seems to be getting parts installed that have just been taken out the other two. In general The Ships that are lining the sides Infront of the launch tubes look rough some have scorch marks and seemingly warped frames others have the remnants of their Broken off weapons sticking from their fuselage while yet others have holes shot clean through them. There are however some that, besides some cosmetic damage in the form of light burns seem to be in good condition. All in all it seems like there are a total of maybe 60-70 ships in this hangar and maybe 10% of that in functional order* Nope no magic used in the Standard vessels and no i have not a clue how it works. I am a commander, a pilot, a leader and quite a lot of things honestly... But one thing i am not is an Engineer. I know the basics to bypass systems and get things running in an emergency but that's it basically.

Also, define Satellite. Like Technical satellite? If you tell me more we can maybe later talk about building one for you.

Ahhh… a technical satellite would be nice. All of the ones I’ve made have been mostly utilized as waypoints and small living spaces.

Though, I did “commandeer” some stuff off of an old satellite in Earth’s orbit and implemented it in one of my satellites. I figured out a nice way to cleanly transform received radio signals into raw information that could then be beamed to my head. I don’t usually use it, though. It gets noisy. I also can’t send anything, which sucks.

That latter part can all be arranged in a Micro satellite although the "beaming into head" portion might be... not as purely technologically viable unless you have a send/receive implant of some sort. Oh the Waypoint portion as well, that can also easily be built in.

The Living space thing is really more space station territory, meaning more needed space, independent energy source, air lock, compartmentalization, multi layered hull and of course a light shield to block smaller asteroids. And maybe RCS thrusters to reposition, hydroponics for food, artificial gravity, a docking port, point defense systems... All the satellite based systems are all possible as well of course. If we were to go one class higher, even a shuttle hangar might be on the table...

Where exactly is your Observatory compared to the general well... planet earth? This question might sound very silly but pinpointing or at least estimating the location of magically protected structures within known Parameters and areas can be pretty tricky when your goal is to NOT smash something into it with WAY to much speed. At least when your Time frame is NOW instead of in a few hours.

Oh, it’s sort of on Earth. It’s a whole superposition bit. If you check magically, this is officially space, at least according to reality.

I could either drop us somewhere in the asteroid belt, somewhere right outside of the solar system, somewhere on Wizard Island Island, or right beside WR 102. You’ll have to step outside of the little magical radius around the Observatory while thinking about which spot you wish to go… or you could directly ask the Observatory nicely.

*After a quick little tapping action on my console the front of the Carrier seemingly opens and out comes a Ship that looks Bulkier then the one you saw the Depiction off. It kind off seems like a Box truck at the end merged with the front section of a Jet hung from blow. The Most notable thing however is that the front of the vessel looks like a large conical Drill*

I called over the ONE carrier that recently lost it's shuttle... So we're gonna have to use a Boarding ship to... well board the carrier. I could also just Portal us on board but this is about not just solving everything with magic eh?

Well then, entry ramp is behind the Cockpit, this will only be a short flight to the carrier but it'll be a first taste at least.

*A Slightly stained and charred Entry ramp extends on the backside of the small ship. The inside consists of the Cockpit just ahead and a Ladder extending upwards. Up the ladder one can see the large main room which seems to be lined with seats. The light for the upper rooms seems to be flickering from time to time*

I hope you can excuse the state the ship is in it had not gotten a chance to get everything repaired after the last, fairly hectic, deployment. For now we'll take seat in the cockpit unless you want to take a look around first.

Ok now we're ready to go. While i don't expect all that much turbulence from a roughly 100m flight better be safe then smeared against the inside of the cockpit.

*After that i sit down in a seat a bit further up front, buckle myself in and start pressing buttons on a console in front of me. After a short bit you hear muffled swearing before the engines in the back become a bit louder... and start to rattle. Shortly after you see us gaining height from the surface of your station while looking out the Window.*

Also, in Fact i should apologize for grabbing a ship that was under Repair currently. The Small craft wing should be in better shape then the Boarding ships but we'll see... You see the Carrier saw... a little more action then anticipated recently and needed Repairs afterwards... In my Absence Tactics didn't really change and well the targets and locations became Predictable... An ambush was only a question of time but i digress... We'll enter the hangar soon, then you'll see the more nimble and impressive ships! ...that is as long as the engines keep running for 5 more minutes *A Stutter goes through the vessel as if both engines start struggling* i should have kept my mouth shut...

Just like this? Not really, I'd pop like an Egg in a Microwave. BUUUT, i CAN make it so i survive, quite easily too... Even just with the technical means i have available, i have vast access to 0 G Vacuum suits, and then there of course is the Magic means as well. But generally I'd rather not have it come to that so i mostly Portal away before the Atmosphere decompresses.

And don't worry, the Structural integrity of this vessel is at around 70% for the Boarding section and 95% for the Control section we are in right now, so this is Perfectly save, I've flown worse.

The Worst fighter I've piloted literally lost a Wing on acceleration! That Sucker took off half the Cockpit wall!

*We seem to be only gliding along by now, floating gently towards the front of the carrier. On closer inspection you cannot seem to hear the engines Rumbling anymore.*

That was a Docking drone taking over, very anarchic but we've lost power before i started speaking last. This boarding ship was in worse shape technically then i might have expected. So now the Drone will move us in, Put us down and then we can disembark.
