Stray Kids in Book Tropes (Hyung Line Ed.)
Chan is protective, passionate and loyal to fault.
Except he is so terribly in love with you.
You, whom he is assigned to protect.
You, who laughs at his dry jokes.
It's the kind of love that exists in stolen glances across ballrooms and conversations that last a moment too long. Chan knows every detail about you- the books you read when you're alone, the exact tone your voice takes when you're truly happy versus merely polite.
He maintains perfect professionalism in public, but in private he doesn't want you to leave his arms. Walls have already cracked and there's simply no going back.
Every hidden kiss pressed against your temple and every whispered promise feels temporary.
Handsome stranger in the bar
Minho is sharp-tongued, observant and devastatingly attractive.
Except he only has eyes for you.
Thursday nights at 9 PM. That's all it is.
He doesn't ask why you're alone. You don't ask who he's waiting for.
The bartender knows both of your orders by heart now. Minho sits at the exact spot at 8.50 PM, pretending that his heart doesn't kick up when you walk through the door loke you own the place.
You talk about everything and nothing. It's the kind of connection that exists around playful banter and knees touching.
It's anonymous. It's safe. It's the highlight of his entire week.
But Minho's getting greedy. He wants your number. Wants to know how it would feel to properly touch you.
He wants more than Thursdays.
Changbin is intimidating, quiet and built like he can break someone in half.
Except you've seen a side of him that no one has.
You find him in the alley again on Tuesday evening, crouched low with a bag of cat food splitting open in his hand. His eyes are already puffy but he looks completely focused in feeding the tabby quietly approaching him.
He sneezes into his elbow, harsh and miserable, then goes back to pouring food into a cracked bowl he had found nearby. The cat eats like she's starving. She probably is.
Changbin doesn't leave. He sits there on the cold concrete, back against the brick wall, watching her with an expression so tender it makes something twist in your heart. Admiration?
You've seen him here four times in the last 2 weeks. Different cats, same devotion. Same swollen eyes and stubborn set to his jaw.
Because that's who Changbin is.
Hyunjin is romantic, intense and believes in fate.
Except he's never experienced it himself until now.
You walk into the coffee shop on a random Monday, order something complicated and laugh when you get the name wrong. You look up at exactly the same moment he does.
It happens in the span of a heartbeat.
One second Hyunjin is stirring his americano, mind spiraling between errands and dance practice. The next, you're standing near the pick up counter and suddenly he doesn't remember how to breathe.
It's not logical. It's not subtle. It's the feeling that he has painted a countless time, never truly understanding it until now. Until you.
You turn around and your eyes meet his. Three seconds. Maybe, four. But, Hyunjin sees his entire future in them. Late night talks and shared laughter- the kind of love poets have been trying to name for centuries.
He blinks a couple of times and you're gone, disappeared into the morning crowd.
Tomorrow he'll come back to this coffee shop. And the day after. And the day after that.
Because Hyunjin knows, with absolute conviction that he just met the love of his life.
He just has to find you again.
