My favorite joel “trope” I guess you could call it is definitely post outbreak Joel being a loner who lives out in the woods and lives off the land finding you alone in the woods traumatized by whatever you just escaped from and slowly working to earn your trust before taking you back to his cabin and taking you under his wing and then the two of you slowly start falling in love despite the circumstances and despite the fact that pre-outbreak times he would have been considered way too old for you. Like he takes such good care of you and is so patient and calm as you learn to trust him. He hunts and builds stuff and gardens and you garden with him and cook and craft and the two of you are in your own little world out in the middle of nowhere. Lowkey for some reason when I think about this I always imagine reader as mute in the beginning because she’s too scared or traumatized to talk to him but slowly was she opens up and feels safe with him she does start talking. Also when you two start being intimate Joel definitely has a huge guilt complex about the situation definitely convincing himself he’s an old pervert that took advantage of a lost girl he found in the woods but you’re completely unbothered because you love him and trust him and he’s hot and sooooo good in bed that even if that were true and he had taken you in maliciously you wouldn’t even care.

Most role-playing on here still takes place through reblogging replies & so "starter" posts usually bring in more traction because people can just reply that way.

So, you might have to go searching in the same tags and on similar blogs and be the first one to reach out for what you're looking for when it comes to role-playing. (dm specific, etc)

Another way of getting traction could be posting plots you're interested in writing about, like little slightly fleshed out ideas that get other people interested enough to be like "hey, that sounds fun!" And then proceed to dm you about it!

Does anyone in the roleplay community know how to get more traction to your blog? I started my supernatural oc side blog and a few of my posts have gotten likes but no one ever interacts???

I wasn’t going to create BOTH an OC blog for supernatural and the boys but if the supernatural one doesn’t get any interactions then maybe I’ll try one for the boys lol
