Proud cat mum alert!!
Just want to share a win for my boy today... he used the cat tree to scratch on for the first time!
I've been a mean mum showing him how to use it whenever I catch him scratching the carpet - I thought I was getting nowhere - Let's hope if he uses that instead of ripping my carpet to shreds...
Meet Mittens - A handsome boy I've taken on as my first baby!
He was a local stray cat in my area that I had been feeding for over a year whenever I saw him (he was all bones at first). That entire year he put up with us fleaing him, removing ticks and matted hair, combing him, and bathing him (he was always filthy and smelled again within a week)
6 months ago I decided to trial giving him a home here and I really can't believe how much of a different cat he is now - I'm so so proud of him
And a couple of months after giving him a home, the most adorable thing I've ever witnessed in my life was watching him jump, run and play around for the first time ever!!
He's been vaccinated, neutered, litter trained, chipped, has a food routine, AND he hasn't needed a bath since! I'm a very proud cat mum to a now playful, cuddly and slightly chubby little guy

This is a portrait of Oslo, one of my more recent pet portraits!
I started embroidery with some simple supplies, a photo of a dog I knew and got stuck straight into making my first pet portrait embroidery hoop for a Christmas gift. And oh my word... I loved every moment I spent making it!
I kept practicing for a while and have gradually improved over the past 2 years. Now I do this as part of my business, The Artist's Lab.
