The fact that there are gods with disabilities make me so emotional. Hephaestus, Tyr, Hodr, Odin and other disabled deities just prove that being disabled is a vital part of the human experience, not a deviation from it, and that concept alone is so moving. Just like there are deities for specific human experiences like fertility or war, there are also deities with disabilities, which just proves that we have just as much of a place on this earth as mothers and warriors do. The idea of that has genuinely pulled me through some hard times.

Well it’s official. Almost all of my 20-ish cousins have been divorced at some point now.

There’s one couple remaining and my hypothesis about them is that my cousin’s husband was divorced before he married her so the universe decided that counts or something and she gets a pass.

The only other three of us who haven’t been divorced are the ones who are generally bad at finding dates in the first place. Maybe we dodged a bullet there by being undateable.

I think my brother hasn’t been divorced because he’s the youngest out of all of us and he’s only 21 so maybe he’ll break the trend.

One cousin that’s my age was divorced by the time she was 21 though so being young isn’t a guaranteed get out of divorce free card.

Come to think of it all of my dad’s brothers and sisters either got divorced or had a spouse die way too soon or have a crazy ex of some kind that tried to kill them so maybe my grandparents used up all of our line’s romance luck with their long and successful high school sweetheart marriage and eight kids.

if theres one thing that really pissed me off from my 3 years of architecture i took in high school it's learning about how we used to have all these little techniques to maximize or minimize heat or warmth and now we just merrily abandoned all those to have the same copypaste style buildings everywhere that are often INCREDIBLY unoptimized to the local weather and climate so we can just throw more money at our heating and cooling bills
