Amanitas came back…then were immediately stomped by someone before they could grow :/ at least I got this pic first
Wow! I need to see these in real life. Contrary to being designated as poisonous in some text and media, the fly agaric will not kill you like it’s shown to do to Snake in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater..
Hey friend, according to Paul Stamets (look him up, more than well worth it if you havent) the related species Amanita Pantherina has similar psychoactive effects. Definitely a very interesting group of fungi
Some type of amanita, it's a little hard to tell what because it's dessicated somewhat but the color is beautiful
As a prefix to this post, glad to be back! Would love to chat with any of you guys soon, really amazing to be well over 1k well on my way to 2. Pretty sure we've got a psilocybin containing species here, maybe cubensis. Personally I don't care to eat them, but amazing considering I live in the blue ridge area, and that they are growing in front of an apartment building.

Anyone recognize these? They seem to be parasitizing a magnolia seed pod
Something munched on these
Wood/Jelly Ear (Feat. Some kind of mite)
Beautiful biocrust

I’ve noticed that I’ve had little to no interaction with anyone following this blog. I think it’s high time I remedy this. It’s so great that anyone has paid attention to what I’ve found and at great effort been able to photograph when I have the chance. I know this is wordy as hell, but if anyone would like to know anything at all feel free to ask!
Tiny pored mushroom of some kind
Huge... something?
