Today's #WisdomWednesday is from the beloved, now late, Carrie Fisher, another personal hero of mine. Not only a great actress, but also an author, script doctor, and mental health awareness advocate, Ms. Fisher touched the lives of generations of people. She had just released her third memoir, The Princess Diarist, last month. Her death is a huge loss, and I've just learned that her mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, passed today as well. My heart goes out to their family and everyone who will sorely miss them, myself included. #MakeSomethingMonday! Behold, the #dragon egg I created! This cool project was started by my co-worker at a #makerspace show (hence the different pins on the bottom) but I finished it for our #Triwizard Tournament this week. I wasn't going to post this at first because I hate the way I look in the second photo. It's a bad angle and I look much bigger than I actually am, plus it was 1000 degrees and I was outdoors. But today was our summer reading kickoff party, and even though I was on my feet for hours and nearly melted in the Florida sun, I had such an amazing time and I can't let a little thing like an unflattering photo keep me from posting about it! We have so many great kids and families in our community, and they make me feel like a rockstar whenever they say "hey! You came to my school! I wanna sign up for summer reading!"
