I agree I love books more than most humans and coffee and long walks and snuggling in blankets on cold nights, but I love you so much more. And yes I love the ways clouds float in the sky and I love the changing shades of the sunset but that doesn't even compare to the love I have for you. I would give up all my favourite things, just for you. I wouldn't hesitate, for one second to give up my world just to be in yours.

The jokes you cracked and silly puns you made up to make me laugh when I was down. The encouragement I got just by seeing you around. The Christmas afternoons spent talking to each other. The eve of your birthday where we were the most honest to each other. The grin on your face when I said something funny. The warm feeling I felt when you called me yours. All of this, it is mine. I won’t let anyone else have it. These are the only things I have a right to keep ‘cause, even though all these objects are yours, the memories were ours. And although I can’t own you yet, at least I can keep the thoughts of you.

"Do what?" he asked, keeping his eyes locked on hers wondering to himself, what odd stroke of luck bought this beauty to him. "Stay? Why would you stay? When you have important matters that need your attention right now? I mean, there's the whole company thing and the abroad plans and all of the other stressful matters. You don't have to be here, I'll manage." "Because I want to. I want to stay. I want to be the most accessible person in your life. I want to rush to your aid if you ever need anyone, or you need to bitch about anyone, or just whenever you feel like partying at 2 a.m. without any reason. I want to see your eyes glitter when you see your first dog. I want to see you get messy eating 'The world's messiest burger' at Burger Barn and...." He replied. "But no one has done that much for me before. I had everything, all the money in the world, all beautiful things, wonderful friends but no one who had time to sit and discuss the world with me," she interrupted. "I know. And I want to give you that importance in my life. I want you to be the first thing I set my eyes on when I wake up, for the rest of my life. I want to stand in the kitchen looking at you, meticulously measuring out sugar for coffee. I want to watch every Nicholas Sparks movie with you all over again just to see your expression change from awe to tears to a smile again. I want to see the reflection of the changing shades of the sun in your eyes and thank my stars for this fortunate stroke of serendipity with my moon," he replied. And in that moment, she understood the meaning of love. Maybe love isn't what they show in those TV shows. Maybe it isn't lavish dates and birthday surprises. Maybe it's just making memories in the a.m. with someone who's in love with your weirdness!

And that was the misery of my life - I was always in the background of someone else's story. The clumsy girl who bumped into you in the corridor on your way to English class.The specked girl standing awkwardly in the background of your snapchat selfie. The plain friend who appeared at the party with your girlfriend. The shy girl who sits at the back of your history class scribbling notes and cartoon characters occasionally. And even though, it didn't affect me a bit in the beginning, I soon began to wonder how people at school would react about the fact that I'm in love with you. I mean it's completely rational, isn't it? What has the moon got to do with all the stars loving him? What has a jock got to do with an uncool nerd loving you? What was i expecting, reciprocated love? And while I sat in the farthest corner of the library on sad gloomy days and occupied those single tables at the canteen no one ever sits on, all I hoped for was your one glance in my direction. While I scribbled poems and wrote down quotes relating to my current delirium, all my eyes did was search for your warmth in this sea of cold people. And I understand that I've got flaws and I understand that the blinding sparks of outgoing happy people fades the tender glow of my introverted soul. But just like even the ungrateful blessed people get someone who proves to be a blessing in their lives, and just like I can't stop writing down my feelings about you on the already scribbled walls of my heart, all I wished was to mean enough to you for you to notice me too.
