Spawn me the details (BG3, Astarion/You - Vampire Spawn Tav)

As Astarion is snatched from the streets of Baldur's Gate, another one of Cazador's spawn gets taken. You. It can't have been more than a few months since that fateful night at the tavern, and now you find yourself hiding behind a bush while he gallivants through the forest with his new allies. As the group is passing by, a voice pierces through your mind. Follow them. You need to stay close. It's the last thing you want to do - follow the man who led you to your doom. But it seems like you have no choice in the matter, if that tingle in your brain is anything to go by...

Trust no one (BG3, Astarion/Female OC Tav)

“How about if I said these little words… everyone’s favourite… I love you.” Heat builds up in Shiyu. She can’t believe he just said that. Can’t believe he’d think her stupid enough to fall for a lie as blatant as that. The feeling rising in her has history. Has a name even. Someone who had pretended to be her friend to take advantage of her, whom she had foolishly believed. The shame she had felt when she realised it had been overwhelming. Never again. “I hate people who do that,” she manages to say with barely veiled fury. The vampire doesn’t seem to notice or care. “Do what, dear?” he asks innocently, before something seems to dawn on him. “Oh… you want these words to be true, don’t you?” The self-assured smirk. The audacity. It’s enough to make her burst.

Let's see how Astarion fares with a Tav who has the brain cell and actually uses it. Also, they both have trust issues.

What We Do In Faerûn (WWDITS x BG3 crossover, Guillermo/Nandor)

When a giant tentacle crashes through the roof and abducts Nandor, of course, Guillermo finds a way to get him. But just taking him home again won't do - at least if they don't want him to turn into a mind flayer. So, staying with the people Nandor declared his friends within milliseconds might be their only chance. But Guillermo isn't the only one wary in nature... a certain other vampire is pricking up his ears and waiting for his moment to take advantage.

Also, they're tentmates.

Working on Chapter 9 of Twelve Days of Debauchery

Surely, it was a jape. That was the only possible explanation for why Anth— Astarion was leading a pretty young woman by the hand through the gardens. Byron watched from the bedroom window, seething with a jealousy more fierce than he'd ever known, as smiles as easy and warm as a summer breeze passed between the pair. He gasped when his love, his love, who'd declared his own passions so fervently the day before, suddenly knelt before the woman with flaming hair, plucking a daffodil and passing it to her like a most precious gift. The sound of glass shattering startled the poet, and he looked down, realizing he'd dropped his water glass in shock. He turned, trying to soothe himself. Of course, Ancunin would still be courting, still looking for a wife. It was a requirement. A duty. It was patently absurd to believe for a moment that the fervency of their affections would be able to stop the tidal weight of social obligation that was marriage. Nonetheless, George decided right then that he would make him pay for having to watch this mockery of the words they'd spoken in their passion.

He summoned Viktor with a bell, a plan fully laid out in his mind. The Prussian frowned when he'd worn naught but a waist-coat over a summer's shirt of fine muslin, even foregoing a cravat. The frown deepened when he'd directed the man to affix the collar to his neck.

Without the finishing neck-piece, the collar was clearly visible for what it was, nestled in the high but open collar of the shirt, the diamond star at the front drawing in every eye, impossible to miss.

As Byron stood in the doorway, debating between whether to ride out into the gardens or catch the two of them in the grand hall, Viktor cleared his throat.

"You may speak."

Viktor took a slow breath. "I mean no disrespect, my Lord, but I worry you may be acting with a certain youthful, well, imprudent passion."

Byron narrowed his eyes at the imposing man. "And by what rights would it be your job to determine this?"

The taller man looked down. "My Master, he's…" The man took another low breath, seeming to draw courage. "He would be quite distressed were something to happen to you, as his affections have grown quite deep."

"And why would you believe something might happen to me, Viktor?"

The man looked him straight in the eyes with his piercing blue stare. "My Master is a dangerous, volatile, viciously jealous man."

It should have felt offensive, the implication that somehow Byron would be unable to defend himself. Part of him bristled, rose up, and angrily demanded that he put this upstart in his place. But the sincerity in the man's bright eyes was hard to overlook.

"Perchance," George began, toying with the collar. "Could you tell me who the young woman is?"

"Yes," the word sounded like the man's voice was run through gravel. "Her name is Kotryna Grigolaitė. She arrived this morning from Königsberg."

"Isn't that your port of call, goodman?"

Viktor nodded, jaw still tight. "Kotryna is my daughter. She came without notice, and expressly against my wishes."

A shiver runs down your spine at the thought. Before your inner eye, the entrance looms. The place where you died. And she wants you to go back there.

Astarion's voice is uncharacteristically quiet as he answers.

"You don't know Cazador like I do. He's merciless. You want me to go into the lion's den and save your children, but I promise you they're already-"

He stops abruptly as something dawns on him. His eyes widen and his head snaps to face you, his gaze intense as he stares. Mouth slightly open, but not daring to ask the question.

You gasp loudly as you realise it, your hands flying up to cover your mouth in horror.

Because you remember now. A few cells down, on the opposite side. There were children.

You didn't think it possible, but Astarion's eyes widen even futher as he tries to gauge your answer from your reaction. You feel a knock against your mind - a request for permission.

Astarion wants to see it.

Somewhere in the background you hear the old woman asking if you're another spawn, and Wyll trying to keep the peace, but none of it matters right now.

You nod once, without breaking the intense eye contact, and then you show him.

This is a very very rough draft for a fic I'm working on for an unnamed fic for BG3

I'm tagging whoever wants to do this!

Astarion had long debated which of his companions was the most insufferable, Gale, with his incessant lectures, or Karlach, with her blinding, frivolous optimism. Tonight, they were neck and neck.

“Did you see Violet’s eyes when Mayrina said she was going to give the hag her baby?” Karlach shuddered, rubbing her arms as if to chase away the memory. “I swear, for a second, I thought she was going to—”

The tiefling wasn’t wrong.

He’d seen it too.

It was the same look Violet had right before she’d kicked that tiny, furry little snack pack he’d have happily eaten if she hadn’t gotten there first, back at the grove.

Something he’d remind her of — repeatedly — just to have her argue that letting him feed on her more than made up for it.

Tit for tat. [keep or scrap? hmm..]

He’d never met someone who could meet him blow for blow, flirt for flirt — and still live.

[filler here maybe]

It was infuriating, the way she got under his skin — like a splinter he couldn’t bring himself to pull out. [stake joke?]

But why would he? Where would he get his fun then? Certainly not with his other companions.

“Kill her?” Gale scoffed, placing his hands on his hips. “Really, Karlach. I’m surprised at you. Violet can be a tad impulsive, yes—”

Astarion snorted, earning a withering glare from both wizard and tiefling alike.

Violet was not a tad anything. She was all or nothing — fury, grief, desire — and that’s what he admired most about her.

But as fond as he’d grown of Violet, he still saw her — all of her. The edges, the cracks, the holes.

Gods, but he’d like to see a few more of those... [filler maybe or leave be?]

But, the self-appointed leader of their merry band of parasite-ridden misfits was all flirt and no follow-through, and he was starting to take it personally. Really, there’s only so much teasing one can take before it becomes cruel. Especially for someone who’d spent centuries pretending to want what he never did — only to finally mean it, and be denied.

Surely someone, somewhere, had died from being this pent up. [death from blueballs... think of quippy fantasy equivalent?]

“But she’s not a killer,” Gale finished, turning his glare back to Karlach. “She’s many things, but not that. What you saw was fear, perhaps pain — but, not intent.”

Karlach frowned, tail flicking in irritation. “Yeah, well, explain that to the way she looked at Mayrina.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “I know murder eyes when I see ’em.” [needs workshopping, idea is there, but the first line doesn't make sense]

“You just don’t know her well enough yet,” Gale replied, his tone calm but a little too condescending for its own good. “Perhaps I should go check on her. I’m sure she could use a reassuring presence after all that unpleasantness.”

Astarion narrowed his eyes.

The competition was no longer neck and neck.

Gale had won.

Sound the trumps, hoist the banners, and cue the applause for Faerun’s most insufferable wizard.

Gods. There was no way in the Nine Hells he would let Gale anywhere near Violet when she was like this.

Hells, he wasn’t even sure he should even be near her when she was like this.

Funny thought about GO3

Do you think Aziraphale and Muriel rehearsed their performance in Hell with Crowley beforehand? They must have.

It's such a funny thought, the three of them like a theatre crew. Crowley would pretend he hates it (he loves it).

"No, their name is Dagon, angel. And Muriel, more yelling! You're as convincing as [bad comparison]."

Further thoughts about why I loved GO3

If it would have gone Crowley's way, they would have run away. I guess they would have been together eternally on Alpha Centauri, though doomed to stay cynical and bitter about Earth, Humanity and the world at large, I assume.

Inspired by Crowley, Aziraphale refused.

Which led to the ending Crowley wanted.

So in a roundabout way, Aziraphale saved Crowley from settling. Even if that means, he chooses Earth over them in the end.

Omg, that discussion in the garden. "Did I say the wrong thing?" Everything that happens in Aziraphale's face.

The absurd amount of love on his face when Aziraphale turns. Because that's his angel Crowley and ofc that's what he chooses and so ofc that's what Aziraphale is choosing too, because he loves Crowley (and humanity and knows it's the right thing, even if it hurts like Hell), and Crowley starting to cry (the ultimate team, group of a two us-moment as they decide together).

SO MUCH LOVE!!!

good omens 3 spoilers ahead!

i personally enjoyed the ending, even though it's not without its faults, and below is a bit of character analysis from the very end of the finale :>

it really is astounding how like aziraphale and crowley asa and anthony are and yet they are so different

it seems to me that asa's greatest pleasure is doing good and receiving praise and/or thanks for it. he's genuinely happy when he manages to procure a book that anthony wants, and his knee-jerk reaction to being told "thank you" is a smile and giddy nod. maybe in this universe he isn't an angel, but perhaps he was raised in a religious family, being controlled, being a disappointment, believing his only purpose is to be good. however, where aziraphale never lets himself slip up in his politeness, it doesn't seem to come naturally to asa – he makes a conscious effort to be considerate and patient instead of anxious and/or awkward when talking to a customer, especially one he finds he fancies. even when he runs after anthony he yells "oi!" which isn't very proper. also!! yellow vest!! his favorite color!! AND the top buttons of his shirt are undone, where aziraphale's collar was always done up!

at first glance, anthony is almost nothing like crowley, more reminiscent of him as an angel, but even then despite the warm smile he appears more reserved – that is, until he starts geeking out about the astrophysics book. and yet, he's still like crowley in some aspects, besides the whole loving the universe thing. he wears his sunglasses and he's dressed entirely in blacks and dark greys, he can't help but be witty and even bitter when asa offers him a discount on his own book. anthony being a huge nerd (in glasses!!!) who's unafraid to be unabashedly passionate about something he loves, where crowley always forced himself to be nonchalant. anthony gets to have things!! he has a career doing something he loves and he looks so happy and content with himself it drives me crazy

Honest (SPOILER) thoughts regarding the GO finale, I think a valuable piece of writing people are kinda overlooking is the INCREDIBLE subversion of their main motivations

Like we as the audience are lead to believe from the start that Crowley is this jaded, cynical little fucker who’s fond of one person and one person only. The typical “nothing in this world matters except you” grumpy who doesn’t give a shit about a universe that rejected him. Aziraphale, likewise, is pretty easily seen as the bigger picture guy, it’s obvious he loves Crowley deeply but it’s the mission of the larger world, the good of the people, that draws his time and energy- he chooses that responsibility more than Crowley. These are the roles we’ve seen them play and the archetypes we’ve kinda locked them in to. It matches with their grumpy vs sunshine attitudes, their aesthetics etc

Then in s2 we started noticing some cracks in it. We’ve met Angel Crowley who is a beautiful sunshiny dreamer who cares so deeply about the gorgeous world around him. Aziraphale starts to get a bit wrapped up in his own self interest from time to time, caring more about his bookshop or Crowley or even Jim than his larger mission. These little moments added depth to their characters, but ultimately didn’t shake our ideas of them. But THEN-

When they were asked by God what they would save, everything in the world has been stripped from them. The universe is lost- all that remains is each other and the final question of “what in the whole of existence matters to you most?” And we think we know what they’ll say, we think the way we’ve been taught all this time- Crowley is the selfish lover and Aziraphale is the heartbroken rejector.

But instead we meet their cores. We meet the truest stripped down versions of themselves and we learn the truth. Aziraphale picks Crowley. His lover, his life, the being that completes him. He makes the selfish, or loving, choice, no matter what it means to the world. And Crowley- Crowley is crying for the world. He is so utterly helplessly desperate for humanity to have their chance that he’s willing to throw away everything out of his sheer love for them. We’ve met the old part of him again, the artist and the lover, the selfless one he’s had within him all along. And for Aziraphale we’ve finally met the lover in him too, the one who’s finally willing to put his love for Crowley above all else.

I don’t know but I think it’s absolutely beautiful to get to know characters that you thought had these black and white motivations, only to discover that when it all comes down to it, they are capable of throwing everything we assumed about them out the window. There’s no black and white or even grey, but a whole world of mixed up colours and choices that make them whole. The sinful Angel and the selfless demon to the last.

It wasn't that Crowley didn't care, it's that he was convinced the system can't be changed.

And what we see at the end is the version of Crowley Aziraphale knew from the beginning, the one that inspired him to try. Crowley lost all hope, but his spark survived in Aziraphale, who kept trying so hard, because of Crowley.

And when they reached the final decision, Aziraphale handed back the scepter. He couldn't sacrifice Crowley for the greater good in the end, it was Crowley who had to do that.

These two complete each other so perfectly. 😭❤️

Things I loved about Good Omens 3 ❤️

- The whole eternal flame flashback cold opening. As my friend described it perfectly: a star wars / lotr fever dream. Temu Legolas. Aziraphale openly caring so much already, the bandage. Crowley just attacked him, he's a fallen angel, and Aziraphale already showed he doesn't fucking care.

- CROWLEY LOST THE BENTLEY TO PROTECT THE BOOKSHOP NHSHJDKDLDM 😭😭😭 WHICKBER STREET FALLING APART WITHOUT AZIRAPHALE'S PROTECTION 😭😭😭

- The many comedic scenes that felt truly GO. I mean, Crowley having been visited by Jesus already, and not realising until waaaaay later, and actually that plot turned out to be completely irrelevant. Omg my beloved idiots.

- I didn't know I needed Mafia!Aziraphale, but GODS, HE'S THE BEST. How cocky was that whole show 😂😂😂 I loved everything about that. Crowley losing the Bentley by playing FUCKING MONOPOLY, Aziraphale coming to a daring rescue and winning it back with CROSSWORLD PUZZLING. The little irritated "how do you know that" from Crowley. LOVELY.

- Crowley just casually walking into Heaven, everyone's complaining about it, even going as far as voicing a formal complaint, and Aziraphale just like "Noted. 😊🫡"

- did anyone else notice Muriel had literally "Bad" written on their cheek as part of their hell-costume LOL (also welcome back silly magician Aziraphale, we missed you)

- I liked how they showed that Aziraphale truly believes forgiveness is an essential part of fixing things. It makes so much sense to me, and honestly, I cackle thinking about S2 ending with Aziraphale internally being like "I'm fixing things 😊🫡" while the "i forgive you" went through Crowley's heart like a poisoned arrow lol xD I also liked Aziraphale asking for Crowley's forgiveness, and also being a little petty like "what was that, I couldn't hear you". Truly married couple.

- Aziraphale saying all the things he did about Crowley being the best angel. My friend and I were playing Bingo and we totally crossed out "love confession" at this point, because to us - that was a beautiful love confession, and honestly: It's better to me than a mere "i love you". It was so precious and meaningful.

- The garden scene NGSSJDKDKDN 😭❤️

- The last scene as a married couple. As a fanfic author (and I wrote soooo much of GO-fanfic), I have a keen ear for how they speak. It's them. ❤️ It's a different them, but a happier one. A more peaceful one. They are together, and happy. I really, really thought I would hate a "they turn human" ending, but it was executed so well, and made so much sense to me 💕

What in the actual fuck was that kiss-finger-to-lip thing. EEEEEEW. (Edit: I just learned this is a religious thing, and might make a lot of sense 🤔)

It makes me furious that my bf just has no problem occupying the restroom for AGES without the slightest thought about how it might inconvenience others if the only toilet in this flat is not accessible.

Meanwhile I have been made to feel - from a very young age - like it's the grossest thing ever for a girl/woman if you're not in and out of there in lightning speed and made fun of at road trips for needing a break etc. BECAUSE GOD FORBID A WOMAN INCONVENIENCES ANYONE.
