This is a lower left leg set comprised of disarticulated lower leg bones and a loosely articulated foot. There is no patella.

These were acquired from an individual who had acquired them for their medical school education. I'd prefer not to split this up.

"Fear Naught"

I generally don't collect militaria, but this little trench art piece was too nice to pass up. Carved bone skull memento mori pendant or fob (maybe?) engraved with Royal Tank Corps abbreviation, founding year, and motto. The bottom of the piece is a lucky sixpence. Made sometime after 1923 based on the motto.

1905 edition of Alfred Binet's "On Double Consciousness". A short book presenting experimental psychological studies investigating unconscious phenomena in relation to double consciousness.

In this case "double consciousness" refers to multiple, distinct consciousnesses in a single individual rather than referring to concepts of dual self-perception in regards to the experiences of oppressed peoples in oppressive societies.
