so, I weigh over 300lbs. I hate my body as much if not more than I did when I weighted 100lbs. and despite it all I’m still happier because I don’t spend every waking minute thinking about food and eating and my weight and whether toothpaste has calories.

you don’t even have to like your body to stop. I hated my body no matter my weight so the choice was: be miserable forever or get over it. I got over it.

I still can’t eat around people or in public and I still know the calories for every ingredient off the top of my head and I have to eat with a TV show on or the voices calling me fat and telling me to kill myself get too loud. The damage is forever but the misery doesn’t have to be.
