It is NOT Impossible
When you work a sedentary lifestyle, you might find it difficult to pursue a healthy, fitness filled life. I am here to tell you it is NOT impossible to achieve your goals. Follow some simple advice and you will see changes:
1. Keep what you want in mind: you are accountable for achieving your goals. Think about them every single day and why you want them.
2. Stay true to yourself: Know what you can and cannot handle. Listen to your body, and know when enough is enough or if it craves more.
3. Meal prep: fail to plan then you plan to fail. Make your meals a few days in advanced, or for the whole week. It may take some time to get the hang of, but you will less likely be drawn to go out to eat if you have your own meal that you prepared for ahead of time.
4. Balance your exercise: Cardiovascular exercise is important along with resistance training. Your muscles are always craving change, so make sure to switch things up once in awhile to confuse them.
5. don’t like the gym? no worries: remember when i said it is not impossible? if you find the gym boring, tedious, intimidating etc etc etc... then find your joys outdoors. there is a slew of fit activites that you can participate in such as hiking, cycling, swimming. outside not your thing? join a boxing club, and indoor pool, yoga. most facilities offer complimentary passes if its your first time so more than likely you will not need to spend an arm and a leg to try things out... although if it were me i would do all the free activities first!
6. move when you can: it does not matter if you move for 20 minutes or two hours... 20 minutes is always better than 0 minutes.
7. eat wholesome foods: steer clear of pre-packaged products and aim for the produce department instead. packaged foods contain many preservatives, chemicals, additives, etc that can counteract all your health efforts. you will also find that organic, grass-fed meats are tastier and worth the price. factory farmed meats are filled with antibiotics and hormones and the animals lived in cruel, inhumane environments that you would not wish on your worst enemy.
8. remember to keep it fun: if your goals turn into hard work, then switch up your activities. Exercise should be something you look forward to, not dread.
