Pine Barrens Tree Frog (Dryophytes andersonii), male calling, family Hylidae, southern AL, USA
There are 3 disjunct populations of this frog, named after the NJ Pine Berrens area, in and around NJ, the Carolinas, and SO AL.
The strange distribution is most likely due to severe habitat loss.
Hear the call here.

Can you post some pictures of frogs that don’t realize that they’re frogs/have absolutely zero (0) braincells? Like the below:

What is your rarest frog.
A true unconfirmed cryptid type beast.
Offers you this...
Panamanian Golden Frog (Atelopus zeteki), family Bufonidae, Panama
CRITICALLY ENDANGERED.
Poisonous.
This species is now most likely extinct in the wild, but many zoos and other similar institutions are keeping and breeding them. (They have not been seen in the wild since 2007).
The main cause for their decline has been the chytrid fungus.

Glass frogs are cool
“They only become transparent when they feel they are absolutely safe. If you put them to sleep through sedation, they do not store the red blood cells. They keep them in the circulatory system because it’s not a native or normal condition for the frog. You can’t touch them, you can’t sedate them, and you can’t inject anything. It makes them very hard to study,” Junjie Yao, a researcher from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University and one of the paper’s authors, told SYFY WIRE.
Bruh your fault for touchin his damn orjanje
